MOH from RCA jack?
Been around asterisk for two-plus years, but need a little input from the
list on this topic.
Have a potential client that wants to replace their old key system with *,
but they want to integrate a commercial message service (they pay a monthly
fee to have special MOH messages generated) into their system. The messages
are essentially delivered to this customer via older generation audio

Question re RHEL 5.3
I've heard now from more than one source about problems with CentOS
(and RH) at least up through 5.2 w.r.t. SATA drive handling, and I've
even reported on this myself in this list before.
My question is, do we have any idea if 5.3 has any improvements in this area?
One of my cohorts here, who happens to be a Fedora fan, says that
these problems are fixed in F9, but I have grave concerns

Vega 50 10 FXO
Has anyone here using VegaStream FXO with asterisk? I just got the Vega 50

Any pointers and a script sample would be appreciated.
Thanks,

how to directly print plots to printer?
Hi all,
How do I directly send plots to printer, instead of showing them on the
screen device?
That's to say, with my current code for ploting on screen device, how to
modify a few lines to send automatically the plots to the printer?
If that's not doable in R, could it be possible to automatically generate a
multi-page PDF file for all the plots, so that I can print one singal PDF

Troubleshooting help?
I'm terribly sorry if this isn't the proper place/method by which to get help with troubleshooting Samba errors/issues, but it's the best one I could find. I have an instance of Samba 4.8.3 running on a Centos 7.6 VM server (kernel 3.10.0-957.1.3), along with Centrify 5.5.2-578, that will allow folks to map a shared drive from their Windows 10 machines generally fine, but quite

Need Adapter/Gateway with PSTN-interface
I am looking for a gateway/ATA that can take conversations on the
analogue line (PSTN) and send them to the Asterisk server on the private
network.
I was experimenting with the Atcom AG-188N but the "FXO"-port only
supports lifeline, so it's not a real FXO-port that can send incoming
calls to my private Asterisk-server.
Could someone advice on a gateway that can take analogue calls

root fs type in fstab
Hello all.
I am currently using ext3 0.0.5d with great success. I am a bit
conflicted about what to tell the system regarding my root filesystem
however. I have my root filesystem configured and working as an ext3
filesystem, but it is/was not without some fraught.
Using RedHat 7.0, if you simply create your journal on the root file-
system, figure out it's inode number, issue a

Debugging stale backgroundrb
Hi!
As you might remember I''m having a problem of backgroundrb stopping
calling my workers after some period of time. I tried adding logging
to backgroundrb source code but it didn''t help. So, after digging
through internet I''ve found several gdb tools and here''s what I''ve
discovered:
After attaching to a backgroundrb ruby process it turns out that it

TDM400P FXO click sounds
Hello,
I have a TDM400P with 4 FXO ports, currently using three. When sending or
receiving calls on this card, there is a nearly constant
popping/clicking sound, it is related to the
echo cancellation?. I adjusted my gains properly, but to no avail. I
even found that setting echotraining=no in zapata.conf didn't change the
scenario at all. I've plugged analog handsets into the

SOAP client in Ruby/Rails
Hi all. I have a need to build a SOAP client using Ruby and Rails. I''m
accessing a document/literal style SOAP service. I''ve been poring over
documentation (well, there really doesn''t seem to be any, so that''s a
little misleading), blog posts, and outdated tutorials all day, and I
still don''t really have anywhere to begin. Every tutorial seems to

FXO ATA?
Is the Sipura 3000 the only way to interface a remote pstn line and connect
incoming calls to Asterisk? I have a location connected by network that has
a phone line, when the room is occupied I want the line ti ring there as
normal, but when the employee is travelling I want the line to be conencted
to a ATA that then feeds it as an incoming pstn line to the pbx located at
my office so it can

qplot with many files (each one curve)
Hi,
i would like to plot a few hundred .csv files.
Each file contains one curve with x,y values to plot.
I have been searching for "gnu r read many files qplot"
and similar words. I found for loops that use assign to generate
one variable containing a dataframe.
When i uesed the classic "plot' command i could add

Asterisk and Wave files problem
Hi,
I'm recording wave files but I cant get Asterisk to play them, only if they
are in 8000 Hz. What is the maximum sample rate Asterisk can handle? I have
been using 16-bit 44.1, 22050 and finally 8000 kHz.
Many thanks,
Christian
