GSM Cards for Asterisk (UK)
Hi,
I am currently building a 1.4.4 Asterisk box for a client and they
are interested in GSM functionality.
Does anyone have any experience with a GSM card, preferably Quad Span
(4 GSM modules or higher) for use in the UK. I have seen the
Junghanns* version but I am not keen on the limitation of having to
use a BriStuffed version of Asterisk.
Do Digium make one ? as I am unable to find

UK experts only. BT Outgoing caller ID not showing
Hi
Just moved offices in the UK and moved our Asterisk box from old one to new
one. Using idefisk softphones, Junghanns quadbri card for ISDN 2e interfaces.
At both offices we had one standard number and a DDI range, routed with
Asterisk.
We'd set up the configuration so each idefisk set its own caller ID which then
got sent by the extensions.conf script. Worked fine at old place but in

Is there a low cost cell phone base station for asterisk ?
I don't really know the name of what I want to look for but maybe
someone could tell me if it would be available.
I have a number of old analogue cell phones laying about here and I was
thinking it would be useful if I could set up a short range base station
for them that would cover maybe an acre or so. What I would like to be
able to do is use it to connect into Asterisk and this way

UK zaptel and zapata.conf for TDM400P
Has anyone got a sensible zaptel.conf and zapata.conf for 2 TDM400P's
working with UK set-up.
They're set-up with 7 analogue phones and 1 PSTN port.
Currently zaptel.conf has
fxoks=1-7
fxsks=8
loadzone=uk
defaultzone=uk
It's really zapata.conf that would be useful.
Currently using the zaptel/asterisk that comes with Ubuntu (latest)
which needed a bit of tweaking (1.2.16), but could

UK Caller ID - Asterisk 1.2.5 - TDM4 Card
Has any one found any issues (bug?) with ver 1.2.5 as CallerID generated on
an outgoing FXS port (to the handset) fails when UK tones are used, with a
message 'Didn't finish Caller-ID spill. Cancelling.'
Any tips on getting this running ? Looked at Mantis, but only known bugs
seem to relate to XP100 cards - not the TDM card.
Thanks

priorityjumping=no
I've been trying to use a set-up whereby I have several TA's connected
to an Asterisk server (1.2.4) and they act like they're in a hunt-group
i.e. try the first, if busy jump to the next etc.
in my extensions.conf I had something like

porting numbers in UK telewest/bt/adept
A client used to use BT isdn30 and ported the numbers to telewest
several years ago.
Now, the client moved to adept telecom. I *think* adept resells BT
products. We got new numbers from adept (bt?) and the old pbx on the
telewest lines forwards the calls to the new numbers.
On the adept line I got a digium card in an opteron supermicro server.
ztcfg gives me over 99.99 pretty much all the time.

UK BT PRI
Has anyone got a working zaptel.conf and zapata.conf for a Digium
Wildcard TE110P T1/E1 Card.
It's connected to a BT ISDN PRI (EuroISDN) with 24 channels.
Inbound works fine, but outbound isn't setting CLI (it seems the line
supports 6 digit CLI). Inbound CLI works fine.
In the dial-plan using Set(CALLERID(num)=123456)
then Dial(Zap/g1/01234567||frT)
Where 123456 is in the range of BT

Looking for a good VoIP Provider in the UK-
Any recommendations for a VoIP provider in the UK?
I have a few guys in a field office in the UK with SIP phones and a VPN
tunnel back to a working Asterisk setup in the US. The Asterisk setup
has an IAX trunk with TelaSIP/VoipXpress with local DiD's for US
offices, so they can call vendors, customers etc in the US at local
rates. I'd like to get the same thing for the UK, so that UK

UK Provider
Hi
Does anyone know a UK Voip Proivder that will give me more than 1 telephone number and point it to my sip account.
www.SipGate.co.uk are great but they only allow 1 telephone number per user, you can register another telephone number by registering as another user but Asterisk doesn't allow multiple registrations.
Many Thanks

quadBRI and UK ISDN2e
Morning Asterikians,
I've just got my nice shiny quadBRI card, and it seems to be working
very well - except for one little issue - CallerID.
The card is currently connected to an ISDN2e line in P2P mode, and an S0
adapter on our existing alcatel PBX. The S0 connection recieves callerID
and displays it correctly - the 2e line doesn't, and BT have said that
CLID was enabled on the

Incoming/Outgoing call question
Hey everyone,
I have a more of an opinion question then a technical question. The
asterisk server I am setting up is going to host 3 different businesses.
Each business is in the same building, and on the same network. My
question is regarding calls coming in and going out. We are a small ISP
and have a lot of numbers that are forwarded to our phone system. The
other companies have about 3

Fwd: Asterisk on Solaris 10 (AMD Opteron, Sun Fire X2100)
Hello all,
I really appreciate the replies I've gotten about this so far
(especially the support for wanting to run it on Solaris!).
The core issue seems to have been missed, though -- is there any way
to run a complete Asterisk solution on Solaris 10 (including
music-on-hold and conferencing)? This probably comes down to a few issues:
- Is ztdummy (a component of Zaptel) *really*

DAHDI - analogue, not seeing ringing (UK)
So made my first forray into 1.4 and DAHDI and hit a problem. (Not
convinced this is a DAHDI issue though...)
Testing an analogue line and asterisk sees the caller ID being passed, but
then fails to detect ringing. A plain old analogue phone plugged in rings
just fine.
Console output:
== Starting post polarity CID detection on channel 4

Analogue telephone cards for the UK
Hi,
Does anyone know where I can get a telephone card that will fit into the PCI slot on my PC and work with the UK telephone system (BT) ?
I would really like the retailer to be based in the UK if at all possible ?
Also, is there any way to set up asterisk so that only certain phones can make external calls, but all phones can receive incoming calls if they are routed to that phones by some

Multiple DDI & Hunting on Analog Lines (UK)
Hi everyone,
I want to get multiple DDI's and hunting across those DDI's in case one of the lines is busy using analog phone lines. The system is for a large house so I want 3 x PSTN lines. 3 x DDI's and the ability for those DDI's to be presented across all three PSTN lines.
BT say you can't have more than one DDI number associated with a PSTN line and that you can't

If it's legal, please send pricing.
