Stop Warnings for Invalid Factor Level, NAs generated?
How can I stop the following warning from occuring? invalid factor level, NAs generated in: "[<-.factor"(`*tmp*`, iseq, value = structure(1, .Label = "12", class = "factor")) The Label messages are for "5", "8", "12" and "46". I want the NAs to be generated as needed. Is this causing R to slow down by generating the warning

conditional coding question
I have a big dataset. I want to create a new factor variable with certain conditions based on two existing numeric variables. Existing variables: indinc (range: 0 to 16), groupinc (range -3 to 5) Conditional values that 'incorp' will take: If groupinc = 5, then ?cons?; If groupinc is -3 : -2, AND indinc < 9, then ?ethnat?; If groupinc is -2 : -1, AND indinc > 8, then ?civic?; If

Working with one model from another
Hi all, I have some code where I''d like to set up an instance of a non-database model from another, ActiveRecord, model in order to use some custom methods on a string, without mixing extra methods into the String class. I understand this might be less-than-sensible as models should normally stand on their own..? My two models: ####################### # models/qualified_name.rb #

Re: 911 and lawsuits and redundancy
Hi, Most companies we work with, have 'designated' crisis management teams. These vary from the insignificant crisis', through to life-threatening crisis'. There is always an assigned emergency services contact, whose job it is in an emergency, to maintain communication with the emergency services. One of our corporate functions is crisis management - so we have to consider

911 emergency service and VoIP
I understand that most VoIP providers allow for 911 calling but that 911 service is not the same as that available to PSTN.

CALLERIDNUM::3 do not working on 1.2.1
I upgraded from 1.0.9, to 1.2.1. I was using this line exten => s,1,gotoif($[${CALLERIDNUM::3} = 066]?mycity,1:other,1) it selecting calls if callerid begins with some number pattern (from some city) But, it's not working anymore in Asterisk 1.2.1 when I test this with noop(${CALLERIDNUM::3}) I get full callerid, not just first 3 numbers like it use to be on 1.0.9 Why?

Support for SIP REFER message
Hi to all, I am sending a SIP REFER message to Asterisk from a VoiceXML application using the <Transfer> element to do a Transfer through Asterisk. I need to know if Asterisk supports the full features of the SIP REFER message because if i set 'bridge=true' in the <transfer> element of the VoiceXML application to supervise the call, Asterisk sends a NOTIFY message with

cisco ATA186 I2 vs I1
Hi, I saw your posting about the cisco ata186 I2 vs I1 and the simple vs complex impedance. I ordered a cisco ata186 i2 for use in Canada by mistake, didn't know that I needed the I1 version. Will the I2 version work in Canada with regular anlog phones, or will I need to change it. Thanks for your answer. Samy -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

i2 vs. instiki-ar
Just wondering if anyone can tell me the differences between i2 and instiki-ar? Is one preferred over the other? Also, instiki-ar has support for file uploads but it doesn''t look like i2 does. Is there any plan to add that support? Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks. Steven Smith

i2 wiki Searching problem
I just noticed the i2 wiki does not return search results consistently. I believe it is because it is using site:wiki.rubyonrails.org when it should be using site:wiki.rubyonrails.com It appears that Google has not indexed the .org pages. For a comparison, search for ''stress'' (no quotes) on the wiki. It will return no results. Change the site:wiki.rubyonrails.org to the

neverending i2/lighttpd problems
So after recompiling ruby a few times to get ssl and readline working, fighting with lighty for awhile, and learning a bit more about linux in the process, I think I''m really close to getting i2 up and running. However, when I try to access my wiki, I get either a blank page or an error 500 and the stack trace below gets sent to the log. If I can''t get this working soon

911 and lawsuits
Just curious if any of the Asterisk installers are doing anything special to protect themselves from a possible lawsuit caused by 911 failure during a Asterisk/computer crash? I realize that any traditional PBX or even a phone line can fail but, anything running on a computer is probably going to be less reliable than most PBXs. Anybody requiring customers to acknowledge and sign any kind of
