Live CD?
I would love to run Asterisk on an old laptop, in a mostly solid state configuration, with no HD. The laptop is slow (Pentium 233), and I need PCMCIA support (for my network card). Are any of you aware of a live CD that might work? Thanks, Dave

Configuring SPA-3000 As A Trunk
We have just posted a review of the Sipura SPA-3000 with a complete setup guide for using the device as a trunk to Asterisk. It is easy to setup and works as good as any Zaptel setup and includes an ATA. Receptionist GUI?
Hey, all. Just wondering if there's a GUI out there -- preferably OSS, but I'll take what-have-you -- that a) can run on an Ubuntu/Debian box, and b) allows a receptionist to see what calls are in-process, and forward calls from their phone to somewhere else. Thanks! -Ken -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.

Peak number of calls?
Is there any way to find-out the peak number of calls that an asterisk system has had? Not the total number of calls, but the maximum number of simultaneous calls. I know I can porobably go through the CDR logs and look for calls which have overlapped in time, but I'm wondering if there's some counter somewhere I could access... How hard to create Asterisk for Compact Flash?
I am aware of Astlinux and the other embedded Asterisk solutions out there? Astlinux is nice but the problem is that when I hit a snag and need to incorporate a patch and what not I cannot do that with Astlinux because I cannot compile my own version. How hard is it to create my own version of Linux/Asterisk to run on Compact Flash. I have seen 1GB Sandisk CF for as low as $50 recently so small

OT: Asterisk and Mambo - help wanted
Hello everyone, So, this isn't exactly what it seems. I am not looking to integrate Asterisk and Mambo. I am the maintainer/creator of AstLinux, and I have recently decided that I should really have a better web site for it. I would like to use Mambo so that I can do updates easily, from anywhere, without having to waste time learning PHP/HTML/etc. Mambo CMS seems the best and most
