astertest
Hi all!! I've made some changes to the applications that Astertest was using to monitor the performance of the server. Now is also possible to track the bandwidth usage of the server, this has nothing to do with the executable (astertest.exe) itself but with the events that the Asterisk Manager generates. The method described in: http://www.asteriskguru.com/tutorials/astertest.html to

Help Astertest - Asterisk stressing tool
Hi, Did someone ever managed to make Astertest (http://www.asteriskguru.com/tutorials/astertest.html) work ? I followed all the instructions of this tutorial and corrected the mistakes pointed by the users but it still doesn't work. I can compile it and load app_securax_cpuinfo.so. When trying to load app_securax_serverload.so I have this error : WARNING[31477] : loader.c: 325

Important :: Please support the development of a new Jitterbuffer for SIP
Steve Kann has developed a new jitterbuffer for IAX2, that hopefully will be integrated into Asterisk v1.1 soon, to be part of the 1.2 stable relase. Zoa and his bulgarian team is porting this buffer to SIP/RTP, but needs support in the form of funding in order to take the time to test this out and complete it in time. Please paypal your contribution to sponsor@astertest.com today. Every

Running a script on xm create
Hi, I was just wondering if it is possible to cause a script to run (configured in the domu.cfg file) each time "xm create domu.cfg" is run, but before the machine is actually started? ie, I''d like to "setup" the disks for the VM before xen/qemu tries to use the devices and allocate to the domu. I''m using xen 4.1.3 on Debian testing, and using the xm

SanDisk Flash Drive error
Hi all- I'm trying to use a SanDisk Cruzer Micro flash drive (usb, 512MB). It has CruzerLock version 2.0 Security software in it. When I plug it in, it is recognized OK. When I open the drive, I have a file to open: CruzerLock2.exe. It has the Wine icon. But when I click on it, I get: CLZ1020: cannot locate the application in it's required location:

memdisk issues with 3com cards
I'm using pxelinux in an interesting way, to load DOS boot disk images from a win2k RIS (Remote installation Service) to do various functions. Soem of the disk images are used for flashing the BIOS on pcs, but a specific few are set aside for booting MSDOS with MS lanman so that ghost can be run to load images to/from the lan. I've got 6 different disk images setup and the all work

Boot 32GB Multi-partition Flash as USB-ZIP
I have a Pentium 4 machine that does not boot from my 32GB SanDisk Cruzer. Its first partition is 24GB and FAT32, to serve as cross-platform storage. There is a second partition of 7GB in EXT2 which is bootable and contains a Linux system armed with syslinux (extlinux). This works fine booting off of recent laptops and desktops alike. This particular desktop has in its BIOS everything related to

Large Asterisk System
Hey Guys I've been browsing the list looking for more information on asterisk behavior for large system. As for now I've got a project with 300 SIP Extensions to start, with future growth (scalability) Capability of recording all extensions simultaneously during peak time. And keeping the call recording for 30 days. SIP Calls being terminated over a Cisco 5400 Gateway Extra 100(+) FXO

quality and delay test
It there avalible quality and delay test for sip connections for asterisk. Something like to clients making a call with different codecs and measuring delay , jitter ? I know there is a Astertest but in that you need 2 asterisk mashines (which is usually hard to have). I was looking for perl/bash scripts running sip clients in a finite loop + etheral to measure packet properties , gathering logs.

Automounter (?) failing in CentOS 5.3
I may have asked about this before, but I can't find any records of so doing in my saved mail (which includes almost everything I ever read or write): All of a sudden, I am not getting flash drives automatically mounted in CentOS 5.3 with GNOME - they are recognized by the hardware, but there seems to be a (new?) problem with the maps. Here's the tail end of dmesg: usb 1-10: new high

Max tftp boot size?
Hi; In http://syslinux.zytor.com/history.php, you mention: PXELINUX, ISOLINUX: Correctly handle files larger than 65535 blocks (32 MB for PXELINUX, 128 MB for ISOLINUX.) However, I am having issues with trying to make any compressed initrd.gz >32 meg work with pxelinux. I am using "atftpd" as the server, with --no-blksize specified to disable the blksize command. The

solid-state asterisk pbx?
I've been thinking of making a (mostly) solid-state asterisk pbx. Take either centos or some other distro, cut it down to bare minimum and put asterisk + AMP on. Something that could be put onto a usb2.0 flash stick, bootable. Modern flash devices (usb, compactflash) have builtin wear leveling management and will last longer than you think:
