Hi, I have read about SS7 recently and learnt that it is a signalling protocol used in PSTN for call management, setup, etc. The thing that I don't understand is how SS7 plays a role in VOIP. Hello on Behalf Of idont know, Sangoma has a Media Gateway solution via SS7. They I believe are the only ones capable of connecting Asterisk via SS7. You may want to check them out. Hi, I'm looking into support for SS7 and I found an article (http://www.openss7.com/news13022002.html) which says that OpenSS7 supports Linux Support Inc's T400P-SS7 Quad T1 and E400P-SS7 Quad E1 PCI interface cards. It also says that Linux Support Inc is the primary sponsor of Asterisk. However I cannot find these cards on the Asterisk hardware page
