exec when missing a file but service installed.
Hi all, I am new to this list and puppet. I am working at the Rutherford Appleton Lab and am part of a team that looks after several hundred servers mainly running Scientific Linux (based on RedHat). I am currently looking at puppet to be used to perform what is currently done by kickstart scripts, with these performing an on going configuration job once the systems are built. My current

mlocate-updatedb.timer not working?
I set this computer up with Centos 8 a few days ago. "systemctl status mlocate-updatedb.timer" says "Active (waiting)". But the mlocate database hasn't been updated since the last time I ran updatedb manually. # ls -l /var/lib/mlocate/* -rw-r-----. 1 root slocate 22944208 Feb 29 10:30 /var/lib/mlocate/mlocate.db What have I missed? -- MELVILLE THEATRE ~ Real D 3D

If an outage is detected, the system attempts a reconnect immediately. If a reconnect is established but is lost again without a full minute of audio, I don't log it as a reconnect. DNS SRV
I have added in my zone file; _sip._udp.elmit.com. IN SRV 20 0 5060 vpbx.elmit.com. As I understand it should mean that any sip connection to <anyname>@elmit.com should go to the udp port 5060 at the host vpb.elmit.com. Strange occurrence
You mentioned that your systems are running Fedora Core. At 4:00 every morning cron runs the updatedb script to update the locate database. That script looks for files on all local files systems on the machine. When it does this it causes starvation of memory so the kswap process activates, while that process is looking for candidates to move to swap space your regular user processes will

still no solution for me, if one provider fails.
I am still looking for a solution and I am sure that I am not the only one having that problem: If provider A fails for any reason, the next provider should be taken. There are many reasons, why a provider fails, like: password wrong (cli reports so, but actually it is the gateway's problem) gateway temporary not reachable gateway busy ... Our user places a call, the gateway responds with

No caller id shows up 3. For testing I have only one
