Ruby on Rails developers in Singapore?
Hi,
Kind of wondering if there are any in Singapore, and if so would like to
meet up to chat and talk shop? Maybe even form a support group for
Rails, or form a community of Rails developers here? I''ve been using
Rails for the past months developing an in-house web application, a port
from an older application.
Thks!

BDC and password change program
Hello,
Just wondering what I should be using for the password change program on a BDC.
Should it be:
passwd program = /usr/bin/smbpasswd -r <PDC address> %u
I'm having a problem with passwords not staying in sync between the PDC and BDC
with pass backend ldap.
The systems are all Fedora Core 4, Samba 3.0.14a, openldap 2.2.23

I give up!!
i've just lost $2000 dollars or so on my first commercial asterisk
installation ..
i'm running a PIV class server, three Digium Wildcard FXO cards, and
10 Grandstream Budgettone SIP phones. The system was to be a PBX
for a small company. After over 2 months of pissing about, the client has
had his fill of asterisk problems, and asked me to take my equipment
out of the building. Obviously,

don't display rulers in image() command and script file input
Dear R experts,
1. How can I turn off the display of rulers in image() command?
2. Rather than typing my commands at the command line, how can I input a file
contents aside from doing a copy and paste operation?
Thanks in advance,

Future directions of R for Windows?
Now rw0640 is released, we have achieved our main goal of being able to
build easily new versions from the Unix sources, and the R functionality is
as complete a copy as we can achieve easily. We are now thinking of
possible enhancements, and would like your comments on the following ideas.
o Use a standard MDI interface like MS Office's, say. Would you
prefer an MDI interface

SIP in the Philippines
I have a frend in Manilla who is trying to connect to an Asterisk-based VoIP
provider here in Western Canada.
Has anyone had difficulties with SIP in the Philippines ? I'm having a lot
of trouble getting info from the provider there (PLDT) and it seems as if
the device can't access a port that will allow it to get out and REGISTER
with the switchboard even because the provider never sees

I think we're on the same page for the battery date. What about the date of manufacture for the UPS - does 2012 seem reasonable?

Ldapscripts v1.0 !
Hi all,
I've been working on shell scripts that allow to manage ldap accounts (users,
groups, machines). They are similar to the smbldap-tools but do not need PERL to
work (and so on...) and are *very* simple to configure - they may be a good
alternative. The only tools you need are standard ldap client commands (ldapadd,
ldapdelete, ldapmodify, ldapsearch).
The scripts can be used as

Asterisk on a dialup connection?
How will this fare?
I am planning on putting an asterisk box for my brother in the
Philippines but they only have dialup internet. I want them to be able
to use a telephone set on a phonejack or linejack card and call me and
vice versa via VOIP.
My setup in the US is working already with a broadband cable
connection.
I am thinking that dialup may not work because of the bandwidth required
