Sangoma A200 and battery removal detection ??!!!
Dear Folks, Anyone knows if Sangoma supports or going to provide support for battery removal detection on FXO lines?? As Tzafrir said earlier DAHDI supports it, which is a very nice feature but what about Sangoma? Regards. -- M. Shokuie Nia. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Using * and other gateways together
Deaf folks, Actually this is my first post here, so sorry for any inconvenience. Im planning for a solution a bit larger in scale than ususal. I'm goin to use * as a PSTN gateway with E1 links and use two other 3rd party Gateways for FXO lines. I should be able to switch from every incoming channel to any outgoing one and also to some SIP softphones. I planned to use SER as a sip server but

Asterisk + Zap + CAS Signalling
Hi folks, I had a survey online but there i couldnt find a clean sample of CAS signalling on E1 interfaces. I defined a span with CAS framing and HDB3 line coding but dont know which signalling to use for channels. I'd use 3 bit CAS signalling and 20 incoming channels and 10 outgoing ones. Anyone could help me define the signalling for these channels. PS. Im using Sangoma cards. Any

Issue with Asterisk realtime
Dear folks, I'm using * realtime with no problems on most of the systems i've setup but rarely i confront this problem that the asterisk doesn't load from database when the systems rebooted and i have to reload it manually or restart it, but it would work fine afterward, no problem how many times you stop and start the *. It seems, there is a missequence of deamon loading at boot

txfax spandsp
I've been using spandsp and rxfax to receive faxes for a while now and over the past few days I've looked into the other side of things - txfax. I can't seem to get it working properly. I've included debug logs below of both the tx and rx side of things. I've tried three different servers, asterisk v1.0.6, 1.0.9 and CVS, FC2 and FC4, libtiff 3.5.7 and 3.7.1, TE405P and

Fedora Core 3 or Fedora Core 4? yum update o r not? also: SpanDSP -pre25 for 1.0.9 is out w00t!
Word. I'm doing a dupe of my production server this week as a CYA. Guess what: FC2. Once I yum update to the current kernel, no more yum. There's no reason to. You may have your own reasons (publicly avaliable server, for example) but why add uncertainty to an, at best, quite uncertain process (that of creating a stable Asterisk install given random hardware, network conditions, PSTN

txfax (app_txfax) sending issue
Hi All, With spandsp.0.0.2 pre20 installed I can't seem to send faxes with tx_fax over a Zap channel (POTS). rx_fax works just fine so no issues with libtiff and (presumably) libxml2. Basically I get 'slow carrier up' and 'slow carrier down' together with accompanying beeping noises until tx_fax times out and hangs up. This could quite possibly be a PEBKAC or n00b

Could not find CLSID for Windows Script
Hi! I have gone a bit further with the installation of Python with Wine. I have downloaded http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msvcirt and placed it in the .wine/drive_c/windows/system directory. And I have run msiexec /i python-2.4.msi within the .wine/drive_c directory. The Python setup windows pops up but when selecting the "Destination directory" I get the

pre25 not honoring .rhosts?
One our servers at work, I use ssh/rdist to sync binaries on various machines...one master server, several client machines. This requires the ability to ssh to the remote host without a password, so I have a .rhosts setup on the remote host, trusting the 'central server'... With pre25, I can't seem to get this to work anymore... I have PermitRootLogin yes IgnoreRhosts no set ...

TxFax -> RxFax on same machine hangs
Hi, I noticed a strange behaviour: Faxing using spandsp (TxFax) from my asterisk box to my old, common fax machine at home works fine. Faxing from the same box to my office pc-fax (Hylafax) also worke fine. Receveiving faxes on my asterisk box using spandsp (RxFax) also works fine. It is a PSTN number connected to the digium card of that asterisk box. Then I faxed from my asterisk box (TxFax)

TxFax works only with one of 2 PRI
Hi there, I'm Using TxFAX to send faxes via Zaptel PRI. I have 2 PSTN PRI Providers, with the first provider, all faxes are trasmited fine. With the second provider, faxes can't be sent, we suspect about the setting of this PRI provider, perhaps is doing some compression somewhere. Any suggestion welcome. I've tried these txfax calls with these results: txfax(${FAXFILE}): Fax
