similar to: Asterisk in production as a fax server, anyone?

Hi, I thought I'd check in with people here. Lets say I wanted to put together a Hylafax server, and an Asterisk server on the same box. And, for the sake of making things simple, I wanted to use a single T1 board for both.... Is this possible? I see Eicon boards are supported by both software, so could I have Hylafax and Asterisk installed on a server with an Eicon card, with channels

Hello all, I am trying to set up asterisk and hylafax to send and receibe fax. The machine is connected to the PSTN is an Eicon Diva BRI (1 BRI port). My problem is that , when I send a Fax from the PSTN to this machine, the asterisk or diva or hylafax, does not detect this call as a fax and asterisk answer that call like a voice call. I am testing out hylafax and iaxmodem. Submitting jobs to the hylafax server and having it then dial using iaxmodem is working fine. Hi, I would like to set up a high density FAX/PBX server, am looking at using Eicon Diva E1 card with Asterisk and Hylafax sharing channels, is this possible. I know Extensions can be reserved for voice OR fax with the combination of chan_capi used for * voice, capi4hylafax on fax but then channels must be dedicated rather than shared ie. would like to be able to answer voice/fax on same DID.

Hi Last month, people reported a crash with Asterisk 1.2.13 and spandsp-0.0.3 when receiving a fax using fax detection. Today I've tried 1.2.14 with the latest spandsp 0.0.3pre27 and with the snapshots for app_rxfax.c and app_txfax.c. The problem still happens. Has anyone found how to resolve this issue? I just looking about SpanDSP, Hylafax/Iaxmodem, AsterFax,...etc. The asterisk box has Digium hardware, one TE420B and one TDM2402 (8 FXO ports).
