Asterisk Manager Interface, reliably monitor NewCall for an extension
Hi Everyone, I am writing an open source application that brings desktops widgets to OS X (http://sourceforge.net/projects/astrxtools4osx/), for which I am trying to get my head around the Asterisk Manager Interface. I had been using the Event: NewCallerid to detect a new call which my Asterisk server doesn't seem to send to the socket anymore, because of which I have reverted to using

Asterisk desktop tools for OS X
Hi everyone, I have been long working on a project (http://asterisktools.org, to be released under GPL) that aims to provide desktop tools for Macs. I am finally getting to the release stages of this application and hope to have an early BETA available next weekend. If there is anybody who is interested in this tool, please send me an email as I am looking for people who can test the

CallerID shows wrong values in manager interface
Hi everyone, My manager interface seems to be producing wrong CallerIDs when internal extensions call each other. Can anyone see anything wrong in the configuration snippets pasted below? The following instance has extension 101 call 103. The phone does show the right caller ID, but notice that the manager interface has the CallerID as the target number (103). Thanks a lot for your time.

ZAP device reference in Zaptel 1.4 - SIMILAR
Well, I'm experiencing a similar problem with my setup... debian etch, asterisk 1.4.2, zaptel 1.4.1, ... I cannot find the chan_zap.so module file anywhere, tried recompiling with zaptel 1.4.0... no change... I tried 'make menuselect', and going to the channels-part, chan_zap is marked XXX -> dependencies missing: and this is the message for it, as an explanation. Zapata Telephony

XiphQT and OSX 10.9
Hi, After running 10.9 for a while, I noticed iTunes would no longer play my ogg files. I found a workaround suggesting that I force iTunes to run in 32 bit mode. After doing this, iTunes informs me that it can only be run in 64 bit mode. The reason appears to be that in 10.9, Quicktime APIs have been largely deprecated. Before I realized that was the cause, I was trying to build 64 bit

FreePBX & AAH
Does anyone know if FreePBX can be installed on a Linux box that was built using Asterisk@Home. I would prefer to manage Asterisk with FreePBX over the AAH build. I have just not had good luck building an Asterisk system from scratch and the Centos based Amp ISO and prebuilt config files are a wonderful place to start. Nothing against Asterisk or Linux. My build from scratch issues are only

Rsyncing to arbitary locations using modules
Hi, I have been experimenting with the various rsync options and so far have had no luck, so I thought I would ask the experts out there. We have remote devices out in the field and communicate with them via GPRS. I am writing an app that will push new audio files out to remote devices using rsync. The app also periodically uses rsync to grab log files. So here is my scenario: The Remote

Activity logger for Xen Guest Domains using libvirt
Hi all, Wondering if anyone knows of any tools I can run on my Dom0 to log various stats (like CPU usage, memory usage, etc) for each guest domain for analysis over a period of time? I can see that xentop displays that information anyway but would be nice to be able to present that information on a web based interface for day to day administration. Also any tools that send out email
