Merlin Legend
I have a legacy pbx that I know nothing about. The PBX is a merlin legend system (now owned by avaya). I have found information on the list that I can use a 100D T1 card to bridge the PBX to an asterisk system. We are looking to head this route as well as replacing are AUDIX VM system with Asterisk. Has anyone done this that wouldn't mind sharing some of the merlin specific setup?

asterisk T100P to Merlin Legend
Management just approved purchase of a Digium T100P and a T1 card for our Merlin Legend Switch. I will appreciate comments from anyone performing this installation before: - Which T1 card did you use in the Merlin Legend? - Did you require any special interface? (CSU/DSU, etc) - Any items to watch during installation. Also we will need to remove one of our old analog Trunk cards to accomodate

How to make legend with line+ character
Dear all, I have a multiline plot with each line labeled with a different letter. But I'm not able to make the legend display the same kind of pattern '-a-', instead the letter is overwritten by the line. A simpler legend with only the letter is not very visible and the pt.bg does nothing with letters. Any idea? plot(1:10,10:1,lty=1,type='b', lwd=2,pch='a')

Merlin Legend integration not routing calls back to PSTN.
Folks, I have a Merlin Legend R7 V10.0 with a 2 100D cards. I have 1 card in slot 4 going to CenturyTel, and the card in slot 10 going to a flip cable to a TE110P card in a Asterisk 1.6.x box. I have routing setup on the Merlin to send a block of numbers to the Asterisk. Currently the PSTN can dial the Asterisk Extensions. The Asterisk can dial Merlin Extensions. The Merlin can Dial Asterisk

xyplot: legend title + legend on 1 line
Does anybody know how in xyplot to put the legend title on one line with the legend? I can get the legend on one line with columns=... but the title is always on top. I tried a custom key with key=... and text=... but I can't put the title text in front of the plotting symbol. I am looking for the following layout of the legend, on one line: "Legend Title:" + plot symbol1 + legend

legend() graphics output bug (PR#5725)
Full_Name: Daniel Gasser Version: 1.8.1 OS: Win XP Submission from: (NULL) (130.60.20.92) The legend()-Function shows a different behaviour than it did in Version 1.6.1. It plots a black box left of the legend lines on each legend row. In 1.6.1 there was just the line in appropriate color for each row in the legend (i was using exactly the same legend statement and same plot function). My legend

Error in 'legend' help?
Dear all, maybe I have misunderstood something but to me it seems like a minor error in the help for ?legend for the argument 'bg'. There it says: bg: the background color for the legend box. (Note that this is only used if 'bty = "n"'.) I think, however, that it should be changed to: bg: the background color for the legend box. (Note that this

Legend titles in log plots broken? (ver. 2.2.1)
Legend titles work in linear plots: curve(1/x, xlim = c(0, 1)) legend(x = 'topright', inset = 0.04, legend = '1/x', lty = 1, title = 'Legend Title') But when you change to a log plot on either dimension things get screwy: curve(1/x, xlim = c(0, 1), log = 'y') legend(x = 'topright', inset = 0.04, legend = '1/x', lty = 1,

Plotting a legend outside the figure - units
Dear R gurus, I am trying to plot a legend in the margins of a figure. The basic idea is to have two (or more) plots on the same figure, but then to have a common legend at the bottom of the plot. The approach that I have taken is to setup the figures, then do a "dummy" plot of the legend to determine the height of the legend box (ie from the value returned by the legend() command). I

: bquote inside legend()
Hi, I have a graph and I would like to write some values inside the legend that were saved in a variable. Please revise the code below in which I've wrote 2 different legends, but I am not happy with either of them. What I want is a legend with tile "Legend" and underneath a line with a name and a value like that: value = 2. #Code begin: # ------------------- a = 2 # result of a

printCoefmat(signif.legend =FALSE) (PR#7802)
printCoefmat(signif.legend =FALSE) does not work properly. The option "signif.legend = FALSE" is ignored as shown in the example below. cmat <- cbind(rnorm(3, 10), sqrt(rchisq(3, 12))) cmat <- cbind(cmat, cmat[,1]/cmat[,2]) cmat <- cbind(cmat, 2*pnorm(-cmat[,3])) colnames(cmat) <- c("Estimate", "Std.Err", "Z value", "Pr(>z)") #

Rotate legends or other approaches to nice legend placement?
I'm sure this general sort of question has been asked many times before - I would _like_ automatic and sensible legend placement in barplots so data is not overwritten... but since there doesn't seem to be one, one of the following would be useful: One approach for this would be to place the legend to the right of the graph, and rotate it by 90 degrees. Is there a sensible way to do

Legend problems
I have not been able to solve a problem trying to put a legend onto an image. After generating the image I try to add a legend with legend(locator(1),c("0","0.2","0.4","0.6","0.8","1"),horiz=T, fill=c("white",rev(heat.colors(5)))) If I place the legend on top of the image the text and fill boxes are shown, but

Plotting legend outside of multiple panels
Hello, I have used layout() to produce to 2 plots on a page, leaving a plotting space above them. I would like "Legend", which will actually be a real legend, to be centered above the two graphs. Right now I am only able to position "Legend" above the second graph that I create... obviously I am stuck in its margin space. Is there a way to draw the legend in the empty

legend/plotmath/substitute problem
Dear R Experts, I am trying to produce a legend for a series of plots which are generated in a loop. The legend is supposed to look like this: 2000: gamma=1.8 where gamma is replaced by the greek letter and both the year and the value of gamma are stored in variables. Everything works fine as long as I have only one data series: year = 2001 g = 1.9 plot(1) legend('top',

ggplot2: recommended workaround for broken legend.position="top"
Searching the mail archives I found that using legend.position as in p.ring.3 + opts(legend.position="top") is a known bug. I tried doing p.ring.3 + opts(legend.position=c(0.8, 0.2)) which works, but the legend background is transparent, i.e. I see the plot background through the legend. Adding additional option opts(legend.background=theme_rect(fill=TRUE,colour="white"))

Reverse legend label order in barplot
Hi list, I've thus far not found a solution to my problem and hope someone can help. I have a data matrix and wish to plot a stacked bar plot using barplot(). This is simple enough, but I have a problem with the legend labels being in the reverse order from what I want. The default appears to have labels ascending bottom-to-top reflecting bottom-to-top sub-bars, but I would like the

labels on axis(4) and adaptation of legend to size of the plot
Hi weekend R helpers, *Is it possible to get a ylabel on the right hand side axis ==> axis(4)? Thankx, Jan opar <- par(mfrow = c(2,1)) plot(ts.Origi[,1],ylab='NDII', main=name) # Add the legend text in the right order legend.txt <- c("NDII", "Inverse KBDI") legend(2001.8,0.29, legend.txt,col=c(1,2), lty=1)

lw in legend also changes thickness of characters in the legend??
Here's a simple example: x <- 1:5 plot(x,x^2) lines(x,x^2) points(x,x,cex=2) lines(x,x,lw=3) legend("topleft",legend=c("y=x^2","y=x"),pch=1,pt.cex=1:2,lw=c(1,3)) The thickness of the circles in the legend changes with lw. If you change the lw argument in legend to lw=c(1,1) then the thickness of the circles goes back to normal. How can I make the above

Legend positioning in scaled survival plot
I am sorry that this is another novice question. I am having trouble using "legend" with the survival curve plot from the survival package, and I wonder if it is because I have rescaled my plot. Here is the relevant segment of code: > plot(survfit(Surv(OS,Status)~shortishcr1),main='Overall Survival by factor', + xlab='Years',ylab='%
