About X100P and TDM400P analog card in China
Hello. All. I am a bit new to asterisk, started from half a month ago. I am setting up a home asterisk server with analog card. I am using asterisk 1.4.27. At the moment, I bought a X100P card and installed it on my computer. I used it to connect my home phone line. For the moment, it works fine when dial in. Soon I noticed when I dial out through it to my mobile, it can't hang up

SOLVED - Channel bank woes - no outbound calls
Thanks to the great support at Rhino Equipment and Digium, this has finally been solved. I wanted to post the solution back to the list in case anyone else is having a similiar issue. I started by calling Rhino support so I could eliminate channel bank configuration as the issue. We were able to determine the channel bank and signalling were all working as expected. I then began to monitor

Analog with channel bank - Inbound works, outbound doesn't
I am experimenting with an asterisk setup in my office. The last bit I have to test is working with analog lines. I have TE411p digium card, with an ISDN line plugged into the first, a channel bank plugged into the second port, and the last two ports empty. I have the following setup in my zaptel.conf: span=1,1,0,esf,b8zs bchan=1-23 dchan=24 span=2,0,0,d4,ami fxsks=25 And in zapata.conf, I

Channel bank woes - no outbound calls
So, I'm still having this problem with outbound calls not working when using a channel bank. I've purchased a Rhino FXO channel bank from VoIPSupply.com to make sure it wasn't an equipment problem. I am using a Digium TE411P card, and have simplified it down to just 1 port plugged into the channel bank, with just 1 analog line plugged in. If I place an inbound call on the line, it

Sangoma A200 4 port FXO card suddenly stopped answer on channels 2, 3, 4
I've been using Asterisk 1.2.6 with a 4 port FXO Sangoma A200 card for the past month without many problems (other than the fact that the Sangoma card doesn't disconnect hung up calls immediately, which I posted about in another thread, and has still not been fixed), however, I had a call from one of our clients today and they complained that our phone system kept ringing through when they

Noise using TE410P & Rhino Channel Bank
Anyone ever experience noise instead of a dial tone. We are using a Digium TE410P and 2 units of Rhino FXO & FXS Channel Bank. Everything works well when they are freshly turned on or rebooted, but after a while there's only noise can be heard instead of dial tone. Does this have anything to do with the timing configuration? Where is this time is generated from, is it from the TE410P card?

TE410P to a Rhino CB-24 channel bank
Has anyone had any success with the Rhino CB-24? I can't get mine to work, I tried all the obvious settings. The cb-24 gets stuck at init ESF framing, as if it's not seeing the t1 card at all. It does get a t1 carrier (detecting voltage??) Help! Thanks.. Everything appears to look good on the server, I did: [zaptel.conf] span=1,0,0,esf,b8zs fxogs=1-24 [zapata.conf] signalling=fxo_gs

Rhino T1 and 4-port FXO cards
Just saw these new Asterisk compatible cards at Rhino's homepage. Anyone has experience with these babes? http://www.rhinoequipment.com/index.html http://www.rhinoequipment.com/t1card.html The 4-port FXO looks interesting. Looks like a very clean design. Leo

D4 AMI - No Caller ID
I currently have Asterisk deployed in my office with a TE411P. On the first port of this card is a T1 from the telco setup for D4 AMI. Unfortunately, I'm not receiving caller ID on inbound calls from this line. The caller ID information is arriving in the form *ANI*DNIS*. In zapata.conf, I have signalling set to em_w. The DNIS always arrives correctly, but I'm never receiving the ANI

Sangoma FXO EC vs Rhino FXO EC
Hi all, I am a huge fan of Sangoma cards after having many problems with digium cards and then switching to sangoma cards and them giving me excellent support with excellent results. That being said, they are also alot more money than the Rhino cards and my friend currently has 1 digium 4 fxo card in their system and they need to add another phone line, plus they have echo problems and quality

Simultaneous Inbound and Outbound calls on analog lines...
Hello! I've run into a problem where a user is making an outbound call at the same time that an inbound call is being made on the same analog line. It appears that as the zap channel is opened for the outbound call, it is simply answering the inbound call. Obviously, both parties involved in the calling get a bit confused. Previously, it happened only on an occasional basis. However, as this

Rhino Channel Bank or ADIT 600
I am forklifting a Merridian option 51c with 112 Nortel Digital Handsets and 400 analog units. For the analog units I have quotes for 9 ADIT 600 48 port fxs units and 17 Rhino 24 port FXS channel banks. I have used neither. Which is the best choice? The price difference is not that great. I am looking at Citelinks 24 port Handset Gateway for the Nortel Digital units. (Any other suggestions

Rhino channel banks
Anyone have any experience with the Rhino T1 channel bank? It looks very cost effective at around $1300 for 24 lines but I haven't seen it mentioned on the Asterisk list yet.

Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch recommendations
Hi listers, I am looking for people who have used Power over Ethernet switches, primarily in conjunction with Polycom IP 501's. I've been looking at the Linksys SRW224P, since I've had good luck with the SRW224 in our office. However, Nortel, Cisco, Adtran, etc. all have an offering, all of which vary in price. I would appreciate any input people have to offer. Thanks, James

An FXO version of IAXy?
Hello-- In the interest of Symmetry, does anyone else in the world see any need for a device like the IAXy (or the SIP ones from other manufacturers, like the ATA186), but one that presents an FXO interface instead, so it can be connected not to phones, but the PSTN? murf

TE411P and TE406P stability
I am getting ready to purchase my first Digium card to start experimenting with Asterisk. Before I make my purchase, I wanted to make sure I'm not going to have issues with these cards (need to see what the specs are on my box, 5V or 3.3V PCI ). I will be using Asterisk @ Home, so will be Asterisk v1.0.9. I took a quick poke at the lists, and it appears several people have been having
