Re: Has anyone tried using flash() in features.conf (applicationmap) - RESOLVED
Problem resolved. This makes it nice and simple to 'flash' an incoming POTS line (ZAP channel) as opposed to the dialplan scripts that I have seen that require tranferring the call, hanging up, and waiting for a call back. That was too confusing for my wife. Now all she has to do is pres *3 and it is done. No transfers. No hanging up. No dial back. extensions.conf [context] exten =>

Hi, I hope someone could help me, i have a x100p interface for testing purpose and on each incomming call I redirect the call to handytone 388 atas, the problem comes when i'm during a call and another call comes in, i hear the call waiting beep (comming from the zap channel), but I can't catch the call as usually using flash+2 (my pstn call wait sequence), because when i flash the

Call waiting / hook flash on ZAP trunk from SIP phone?
Hello. After doing much web searching and searching archives of this mailing list, I see that my question has been asked at least 6 separate times but no answers have been attached. In a nutshell, is there a way for a SIP phone to easily hook flash a ZAP analog trunk mid-call? (This is important when trying to make use of features on a PSTN analog line such as call waiting, call forwarding,

Send flash through zap channel
Hi everyone, our setup includes a NEC PBX connected to our asterisk via bri lines. The NEC has a doorphone feature, which is just an extension that calls you when someone rings. When connected to this extensions, a 'flash' signalling opens the door. So now, i'd like to trigger this from asterisk, too, but unfortunately wasn't able to do so. Setup: asterisk

cordless usb handsets: Uniden Win1200?
I'm looking for a usb cordless handset to pair with a softphone ( probably ekiga) on a pc linked to an asterisk server. I've loooked at the bluetooth headsets, but they seem overkill for just home phone extensions. I've found a number of handsets that work with skype, but they seem locked into skype. I've also found the Uniden WIN1200, which works with MS Messenger. It

"intercom" SIP header being ignored by Kirk wireless handsets
Hey, Hi, All, We have a few dozen of the Kirk (ie: Polycom bought this European brand) out there & most all work very well & work very well with most all versions of Asterisk. But we have been tripped-up by one combination of firmware & version & configuration variables. We are running Asterisk 1.4.23.1 (TrixBox CE). We are running latest stable firmware on the handsets. Most

Cisco 7910 Handsets: Skinny protocol?
Dear all. I have about 30 Cisco 7910 handsets, and my basic research has told me that they are not SIP based handsets. Not to worry for now, I just need them to connect to my asterisk server. They are giving me a bit of a hard time. Has anyone here had any experience on how to do this? Documentation on the internet is seriously lacking. Best regards, Mr Gabriel Ogunleye IT

OT - MWI, Polycom/kirk and Gigaset handsets
Hi, It seems to me that DECT Gigasets do not support MWI when connected to a Polycom/Kirk DECT base station : when a new message is dropped into user's mailbox, I can see a NOTIFY message sent by Asterisk to Polycom/Kirk DECT base station (here a KWS300) but Gigaset's handset MWI remains unlit. At the same time, a Polycom/Kirk handset subscribed to the same base station would turn its MWI

Asterisk sharing a line with POTS handsets: how to interoperate cleanly?
I now have an OpenVox A400P and it is working well. Thanks to Ade Vickers for the recommendation, which I second. However, I need to make a slow transition between a conventional multiple-extension setup and a full VoIP network on these premises. So at the moment the Asterisk box shares the PSTN connection with several conventional analogue handsets. The desired result for an incoming call is

TDM400 with FXS some handsets not ringing
Folks, I have a TDM400 with an FXS module. I'm having some trouble ringing some phones attached to the device. I have a real el cheapo handset that cost me about 9UKP. It works fine, I plug it into the Wildcard and call the channel and it rings. I have tried plugging in my BT Diverse 3016 cordless phone but it will not ring, although I can call out from it. I have also tried my GPO 332L

sidetone noticeably loud on analog handsets on T100P
Hi guys, I've run into a problem that I can't figure out on a bunch of handsets I have running into a Rhino Equipment 24-port FXS channel bank hooked up to a T100P and running asterisk-0.9.0 and the associated stable Zaptel release. The sidetone (your own voice that you hear in your handset, built in for comfort) is noticeably louder than it should be, and it doesn't seem to

Use DECT GAP handsets with Snom M3 base?
Anyone have practical experience using inexpensive GAP-compliant DECT handsets with the Snom M3 basestation? When I asked Snom support, the answer was that 'basic functionality should work', but they didn't elaborate. I'm _guessing_ that means registering/unregistering with the base, making calls, and receiving calls (including presenting caller ID). They also stated that they

Asterisk w/ Nokia "e" Series Handsets
Anyone using Nokia "E" Series handsets with Asterisk? I'm trying to deploy some e71's and am having an issue. I can get a single handset working, but when I try to create a SIP profile on the second phone, it won't allow me to save the profile, saying that devices in the same "realm" must have identical username and password. Anyone have a workaround for this

SIP/WiFi handsets?
Anyone know of any *portable* SIP/WiFi handsets? Looking for a decent price:quality ratio, of possible. Keep seeing handsets for Vonage, etc., in Best Buy and the like, but I imagine it's locked to Vonage, and can't be re-appropriated. Thanks! -Ken -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.

GSM/DECT handsets (was gsm picocells)
Now that I actually try and google for it, I can't find any dual mode GSM/DECT handsets, only pages telling me that they exist without any actual information!!! Does anyone know of any such handsets? (and even better, ones that are available in Australia) I've searched a few of the major gsm manufacturers (nokia, Panasonic, sonyericsson) but their web sites are absolutely pathetic to the
