[OT} Speakeasy.net
A little off topic this morning...I'm thinking about switching out of Comast's clutches to another high-speed service. I've tried TDS DSL, but they were half the speed comast was/is. I''ve looked into Speakeasy, since I heard a few of ya talking about them. Since I had TDS, that kinda tells me I can get DSL. I live in Mount Juliet, on MT juliet road, behind the

broadvoice??
Does anyone have any useful contact information for Broadvoice? I've been unable to call Argentina from my Broadvoice line for almost a month now. Their techs keep telling me they're "looking into it" but I get no real information. I've had several other tickets open for almost 8 months now. I called their PR company this morning and apparently they dropped Broadvoice

syntax for playlist
I should be more specific . What I meant to ask was - is it necessary for the directory that icecast streams or serves files from to "everyone" or the "world" have at least read permissions. I do plan to experiment with the permisions but I was just asking to see if any one had already tried this. I like to lock down my system as much as possible. Thanks for the help!

VoIP Termination w/ 402 or 712 area code?
I realize this is a shot in the dark, but I'm trying to find a VoIP provider that offers 402 or 712 area code DID numbers. I'm almost completely convinced that no one offers these area codes (eastern Nebraska, western Iowa), however considering the wide audience of this mailing list I thought this would be a good place to ask. I would prefer a provider that allows for Asterisk use, but I

pull relay problems
heya... i'm extremely new to the list (10 minutes), and i have a burnin' question that i was hopin' you folks could help me out with. i'm running beos as an encoder box, with two streams (8000 and 8001) hosted on it. the idea is to use my redhat box to relay those streams to the public using icecast, allowing the be machines cpu cycles to focus solely on encoding. anyway, i

Broadvoice delivers CID even when restricted?
I can call my Broadvoice DID from a outbound caller-id blocked phone, and BV happily delivers the CID to Asterisk (and then on to my IP phone display.) I've tested with the *67 prefix from a PSTN phone to make sure it was supposed to be blocked. The number is always correct, but sometimes the the caller ID name is set to something funky (like a CO or switch center name.) I *think* this

RCurl::postForm() -- how does one determine what the names are of each form element in an online html form?
Dear R-Help, I am looking into using the Open Calais web service (http:// sws.clearforest.com/calaisViewer/) for text mining purposes. I would like to use R to post text into one of the forms on their website. In package RCurl, there is a function called postForm(). This sounds like it would do the job. Unfortunately the URL used in the example is no longer valid (i have emailed the maintainer
