courtesy message calling mobile phones
Hi everybody.
Just noticed that when calling a mobile phone, Asterisk doesn't bridge
the voice message by telco if mobile is unreachable, but keeps on
ringing till it receives a hangup signal. I think this is due to the
fact that the message is played without the call has been answered, but
I'm wondering if there's some way to let Asterisk realize it. All I see
in the CLI is the line

1.8.0 beta2: courtesy tone being played to callee
Hi. I am using *1 in features to initiate a mix monitor recording.
However, when I hit *1, the callee hears the courtesy tone which I have,
so I know when the recording is started or stopped. This is a problem,
particularly in automated system where the beep is mistaken for a tone
or other problems.
Should I file a bug, or is this going to be fixed?

Italy FastWeb problem: ISDN line crashes every time cisco router turns off
Hi,
I live in Italy and I have an Asterisk 1.0.7 box with a HFC monoBRI
card connected to my cisco router which is connected to FastWeb provider:
does anybody knows why every time my cisco router turns off, my
telephone connection to Fastweb drops (while internet connectior is ok)?
Restarting Asterisk is worth nothing.
TIA

UK Asterisk user, please pick up the white courtesy phone
So, I have submitted my configurations as public samples, and I
should have expected this situation to arise. I changed all the
relevant "private" configuration data in my samples to obfuscate or
alter IP addresses, passwords, etc. However, I left my email address
in voicemail.conf...
Let me tell you, it took THREE messages sent by a distinctly
British-sounding gentleman leaving

Possible to get "Courtesy Tone" on attended transfer?
Hi All,
Is there any way to provide the user receiving an attended transfer with a tone or other audible indication that the transfer is completed (i.e. Party A calls Party B, Party B announces the call while transferring to Party C, Party C hears tone when Party B completes the transfer so that they know that they are now talking to Party A instead of Party B)?
I know this is possible when

pickup problem on Asterisk 1.2.4
Hi everybody,
I'm facing a strange problem after upgrading Asterisk from 1.0.9 to
1.2.4.
Sometimes, when receiving an incoming call from pstn, although my sip
phones ring correctly (I've got both softphones and hardware phones),
noone can pick up the call. Asterisk CLI shows me that the phones are
ringing, then nothing happens, so there's no problem _after_ someone
picked up, simply

Help with Oh323
I am blocked on the most simple step when compiling Oh323:
Cd /openh323
patch -p1 ../asterisk-oh323-0.7.2-pre1/openh323_1.13.5-make.patch
it hangs for ever and never finishes in my machine with Red Hat Enterprise

I need to use Asterisk HEAD and I therefore I want to use
asterisk-oh323-0.7.2-pre1. Additionally, because it is the most debugged
version. In the past, if
