BLF not working after reload
Hi there,
I am running Asterisk 1.2. I have a Grandstream GXP2000 and Aastra 9133i
with BLF/Speedial configured for other extensions. The hint's are all
configured in extensions.conf and it seems to work as it is supposed to
until I reload the configuration in Asterisk or reboot the server. Then
neither phone displays the BLF of other extensions until I reboot the phone.
It continues

Re: Subscription state after reload (New subject)
Actually, I have tested this here with an Aastra 9133i and an Asterisk@Home server, and the 9133i will re-subscribe on its own after an Asterisk reboot, if you wait long enough. It took on the order of an hour to do so. Of course, a phone reboot will get it done faster, if necessary, but it _will_ eventually re-subscribe on its own.

Bug Help or Suggestion - Grandstream GXP2000 (firmware 1.0.2.8) - BLF, Hints, call-limit
Version - Asterisk SVN-trunk-r12793M (1.2.4)
I have 4 Grandstream GXP 2000 phones configured. However at the moment,
I have had to disable BLF, Hints, and Call Limiting due to an extremely
annoying bug which seems to make the phones channels "lock" in busy
after a call has been hungup.
If I do a show hints after say extension 200 has hung up I get the

GXP-2000 fw 1.0.1.13 and NTP
Hi all
Slightly OT but I know a lot of GS experts hang out here - I just upgraded a
GXP-2000 to firmware 1.0.1.13 to try out the BLF functionality with Asterisk
(which so far works as expected), but as a side-effect the phone won't sync
with an NTP server - I've tried different server names (time.nist.gov and
pool.ntp.org) and IPs in the config, but it refuses to update the time on

BLF trouble
Hello,
I have some trouble with the BLF indicator.
I have two phones that use the same hint:
13 => hint,1,SIP/phone13&SIP/phone13-wlan
This works great from the asterisk side, but it seems the status
change is too quick for the attached Grandstream-phones. When I ring the
extension the hint changes to "Ringing". The Grandstream blinks. Great.
Now, when someone picks up one of

Grandstream GXP-2000
FYI, spoke with Grandstream this morning, the GXP-2000 release has been
delayed again. Looking like April now before these hit the street.

BLF not working with Asterisk 1.4.0
Dear all,
I've implemented BLF for use with some Grandstream GXP-2000 phones and
it works fine in 1.2.x versions of Asterisk, although I tested it with
version 1.4.0 and it doesn't work! Has the needed syntax changed for
configure BLF for this version of Asterisk? It it a bug of this version?
Or should it be misconfiguration that I'm doing?
Thanks,
Ricardo.

Asterisk + Sip Phone + BLF
Hi,
I used Grandstream (gxp2000, gxp2020) and Snom (370) SIP Phones, but
with 2 extensions BLF status does not work correctly.
have someone ever tested a Sip Phone with more then 60 BLF without problems?
Can someone suggest me model and brand?
Thanks, bye.

Repost: Aastra BLF directed pickup: anyone have this pickup-mgernoth file?
Hello all
Sorry for the repost, but I believe this is essential for Aastra phones
to use directed pickup with BLF in 1.2 (and it's still experimental in
1.4 I think).
pickup-mgernoth-2006-07-28.patch.txt
If anyone knows otherwise than that this is still required in latest 1.2
or 1.4 please reply with success/failure stories. Any info would be
appreciated.
We can get directed BLF pickup

GXP2k and BLF problem
Stopping and restarting Asterisk will lose the hints, then you will have
to wait until the phone registers again. With 1.2.7.1 a reload
shouldn't lose anything. Change the register time on the phones to
something less that 60 minutes if it's a big problem. Instead of
factory defaulting the phones you might find a simple restart will
re-register the phone and BLF will work on the phone.

Best Hardphone (Subjective?)
After working with the Grandstream GXP 2000 series phones, I have
decided that I am quite unhappy with their problems, both voice quality,
volume, features and others. For their price now, there are plenty of
phones to choose from as well.
So subjectively what would be the best Hardphone for a small/medium
business with multiple line support, BLF, etc.
Are the Cisco 7960 the best of the

New GXP-2000 Beta firmware available
>From the usual place, http://www.grandstream.com/BETATEST/GXP2000/
Note, there are two (and it took me a bit of a while to figure out)
images to be loaded. Copy the ...a.bin's and the .bin's to your http
provisioning directory, and reboot. The phone _must_ load the .bin
files before it understands the ..a.bin files.
After it loads the first one, the phone does lock up with the

Re: Subscription state after reload (New subject)
How can a reload clear registrations?
If I 'reload' without using realtime, I keep my sip peers (as well as astdb). I can still contact other phones... registration info is still there.
If I `reload` with realtime, I lose my sip peers (but astdb remains). I can _STILL_ contact other phones.... registration info is still there and Asterisk must be referring to astdb to find the IP

High volume BLF - Suggestions?
Hi,
We have a user who is putting large call volumes through Asterisk, and
wants to BLF monitor up to 90 extensions. We are struggling to find a
handset that can keep up with Asterisk :)
1) Is there a handset that will do this?
2) Is there a different (standard) way to send BLF and allow directed pickups?
2a) Or even a handset specific way?
Asterisk handles the BLF volume fine, even on quite

Fwd: blf problems after dialplan reload
Hi Guys
we have a system that uses a lot of custom hints based on the extension
the extensions use the format of ext-system for example 200-pbx01
when starting asterisk the "core show hints" show the correct hints and blf
works as expected
in the extensions.conf we have _.,hint,Custom:${exten}
when running dialplan reload all the hints lose the dashes (-) they become
200pbx01
of course

Off Topic: Aastra BLF limit...
Hi. Does anyone have a patch or workaround for the 50 BLF limit of
Aastra phones? I have a couple 57i with the 560M console and only the
first 50 BLF lines get registered. I am using the latest firmware from
Aastra but I read that this limit was imposed because of a memory leak.
Obviously my customer is complaining about these last 10 lines not
showing their status.

How to use SIP hints and BLF for realtime extensions on Aastra phones?
Hi,
I need to make use of BLF feature on Aastra 6757i phones but its an Asterisk
1.4 using realtime architecture. Extensions are defined in realtime database
and dial plan is in AEL. I am able to correctly setup hints in the dialplan,
but they don't work. Did some research and found out that hints don't work
work with realtime extensions. Is there any work around?
On voip-info I read
