AlarmReceiver?
Anyone using the AlarmReceiver? Does it work? Mine doesn't seem to
communicate properly. How can I tweak the DTMF settings? Is it in the
zaptel.conf or somewhere else??

Alarmreciver
Hi,
Did anyone try to set up alarmreceiver application over IP network? Which
ATA can I use? I tried to set up it with Linksys PAP-2 but with no luck.
Maybe I did something wrong with alarmreceiver.conf (I tried diverse
settings, but nothing worked).
Sometimes alarmreceiver is able to get some events but sometimes not. I
think Linksys PAP-2 has a problem with recognizing digits in appropriate

Nokia 32 Terminal
Hi,
Does anyone have some experience with Nokia 32 Terminal (it is an analog GSM Gateway)? After a configuration I can make only incoming calls, I'm not able to do any outgoing. Nokia signalize an error (4 short tones), when I try to phone someone. I tried postpaid simcards as well as prepaid simcards with the same result. Does anyone try to connect this gateway to Asterisk PBX if so what

Problem after upgrade to 1.2.7.1
Hi
Last friday I have upgraded to Asterisk 1.2.7.1 (bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1p.tar.gz). Since that I have a problem with my Asterisk box. I am receiving these messages:
May 24 09:30:11 asterisk kernel: zaphfc: empty HDLC frame or bad CRC received (framelen = 6, stat = 0xff, card = 2).
May 24 09:30:12 asterisk kernel: zaphfc: empty HDLC frame or bad CRC received (framelen = 6, stat = 0xff, card = 2).

Voicemail Options
How do I set configure my voicemail notification so that when I'm left
a voicemail message it:
1) sends an e-mail to my inbox with the voicemail message attached
2) sends a message to my cellphone without the message attached
I get notifications when I've got attachments turned off, but my cell
doesn't like attachments in the messages and doesn't send them.

Guide to better performance using * ?
Can someone point me in the right direction to find documentation on
best practices when setting up a new Asterisk server? I'm using RHES4
and Dell 1750 with TE412P. My current problems are frequent crashes and
choppy audio so I think I can easily tweak these out of the picture.

international numbers...
Using trixbox (or a custom dialplan if needed) has anyone been able to
convert a number dialled like
+612421100000 to something like 024221100000 ie (remove the +61 and
replace with 0)
i just dont know how to set it up, there seems to be no dialplan
wildcard i can use to match +.
I was thinking of something like .61XXXXXXXXXX but that still seems
wrong to me. it could match other numbers.

Fax, txfax -bizarre thing
Hi,
I've been struggling with this for a quite long time. Maybe I am not the
first asterisk user with this problem, (I try to search on google, but I
didn't find anything good). My point is:
I try to set up * to work as a fax server. Each incoming fax (from PSTN)
should be received on email. Luckily it works. I didn't notice any problem
with receiving faxes on email, so rxfax works

can't install 1.0.3
Hello list,
I have been running Asterisk CVS for a good while. When I try to
install 1.0.3, asterisk won't start. Below are the last few lines of
output before Asterisk crashes. I ran "make samples" to start with a
fresh setup.

Nokia N95 + Dial Plan
Hello All,
Recently I added some Nokia N95 customers and it worked pretty good.
Now the customers are complaining about the dialing rules...
They are used to dialing +12486543210 and +4479XXXXXX for long distance
calls.
Is there anyway to create a "+" sign dial plan which will allow them to
dial a number with "+" sign.
Cheers,
Nitesh

alarm POTS lines
Hi,
I've brought this up in the past and there was a good discussion - am
wondering if there have been any new developments.
Our dialtone service, like I am sure is true for most ITSPs, touts the
ability to drop your POTs lines for significant savings. For businesses
we have a low-cost Atom based PBX and a "fax relay" setup locally with
hylafax/iaxmodem to solve that issue,

Realtime and PostgreSQL
Has anyone had any luck with PostgreSQL and Realtime? The realtime

me. I've included all of my config files below, and my console output.

VIP-050
Hi,
I want to extend my asterisk stuff and buy some Planet devices, to be certain I'm going to buy PLANET VIP-050 with FXO and FXS modules. Has anyone heard about it. Is it compatible with Asterisk, or it would cause a lot of problems. Dose anyone have some experience with it??
All the best

app_dial.c:977 dial_exec_full: Unable to create channel of type 'Zap' (cause 0)
Hi,
Ive been struggling with asterisk for a few days now. I understand
pretty much how it works and how to tie things together (SIP -> SIP
internally works fine etc), but just cannot get asterisk to work with an
X100P clone (its a Ambient MD3200, if that means anything to you guys).
I have tried (initially) asterisk 1.07 with zaptel 1.07, and now
Asterisk CVS-HEAD with zaptel cvs. Both give

Patton 1400
I have a patton 1400 setup to handle the bri interface. As a trixbox
user, I wanted a sip trunk rather than having to re-compile bri support
into trixbix.
Anyway, I have it working now so that asterisk can make calls and they
are passed properly to the telephone network. Incoming calls however are
another matter. I have (after turning on cli debug in the 1400)
determined that its getting stuck

Alarmreciver finally found ATA
Hi,
I finally found an ATA which works really well with asterisk and its
application alarmreceiver. Frankly it works just like the TDM card. It is
Soundwin S800 series ATA.
Cheers
