UK X100P installation help
Hi, I've got the latest asterisk@home setup running with SIP. I've been trying to tie it in with the PSTN off and on for a while with no success. I gave up on ISDN and purchased 2 x100p cards from x100p.com. I've got the card installed, the machine can see it. The problems I have at the moment are First time I start up the drivers and asterisk, I can call the pstn number. The

x100p card - detect dialtone?
Does anyone know if there is a zapata.conf option to tell * to listen for a dialtone before dialing? I've got a couple of analog phones on a pstn line shared with a x100p * fx line. If someone is on the analog phone and another person initiates a call through * to use the same line, * dials over the top of the existing conversation. Is there a way to have * detect dialtone before dialing?

Pots Extensions
Hi all, I am either going daft or not reading things right. I have just installed, (well 10 hours ago) a TDM40B and 3 X100P cards. I have followed the examples for the conf files to the letter. I can call the pots extensions OK from IAX clients, SIP clients and from the incoming X100P cards. But, if I pick up the handset to make a call all I get is the engaged tone and the following message.

Digium X100P vs Dodgy Ebay X100P
Hi I thought this might be of general interest. Recently I purchased an X100P from a Digium reseller in the UK. Very pleased with the card; works perfectly. My friend (known for his deep pockets and short arms) purchased an X100P card from Ebay. He's had no end of problems with line noise, dropped called etc so I thought I would compare the two cards. Plus mine was delivered within two

X100P question about odd behavior
Hi All... I have installed a single X100P card in my PC and am playing with Asterisk. The wire I plugged into the X100P has two POTS lines on it, wired on the RJ45 in the normal way. I am getting odd behavior. It seems when I dial out that the X100P dials both lines at the same time. I have two questions. First, I see that the X100P is only a single channel. Does this mean that I can

X100P dead?
Hello, I have X100P card but exten => _9X.,1,Dial(Zap/1/${EXTEN:1}) does not work. The error is app_dial.c:803 dial_exec: Unable to create channel of type 'Zap' (cause 0) Zap show channel, lspci etc show everything is normal. Because X100P is Intel 537 modem, so can I use it as true modem for test? Did any one use X100P as a modem? Thank you very much. -------------- next part

X100P interrupt load
Hello, Can anyone tell me what the "normal" number of interrupts per second is for an X100P card? I've used FreeBSD 5.3 and a linux 2.6.11 kernel on the exact same hardware (only the disk changed) and `systat -vmstat 1` on FreeBSD and `procinfo -dS -n1` under Linux. For both, I'm seeing roughly 1000 interrupts per second on my X100p card. It was a bit worse under FreeBSD, and I

Newbie x100p install question
PROBLEM: My x100p only does bad things. When I plug the line from the wall into the card, other phones in my house go nuts, no dialtone, crazy clicking, random tones, etc. Following the steps below, the line is screwed up any time I test after step 2. Just plugging the line from the wall into the x100p takes my other phones off line. External calls to my line hear busy. Obviously, can't

X100P Manually Answer
I have an X100P used, at present, largely for outgoing calls. It shares the single incoming POTS line with a number of analog phones. Is it possible to talk the X100P (Zap/1) to answer a ringing call only if I ask it to? I'd like to use only the SIP phone in my office, but let the analog phones continue to work in the rest of the house (until I can afford FXS cards anyway..) I can force

Any echo issues with phones from TDM400P > X100P
Hi, I'm thinking of purchasing a TDM400P card and was wondering if anyone has experienced any echo issues with phones off these cards connecting to the PSTN via the X100P cards? I have had my fingers burnt with a Voip phone > X100P. Cheers, Taff. --------------------------------- ALL-NEW Yahoo! Messenger - sooooo many all-new ways to express yourself -------------- next part

Wildcard X100P or TDM400P?
I'm looking to add a single FXO port to my Asterisk box. It looks like my options are a Digium Wildcard X100P off eBay for $6.99, or a Wildcard TDM400P with an FXO Module from Digium for $125. Can anyone explain the tradeoffs (other than the ability to put 4 FXO/FSO modules on the TDM400P). What about RTC for the system - I know the TDM400P provides it. Does the X100P? Thanks!

Problem with Dutch PSTN-line on X100P
Yo all, I have a problem with a Dutch (KPN) PSTN-line, connected to an X100P. The call wil sound OK at first, but after 10-20 minutes, the audio will start to crackle. Soon after that, this crackle turns into a continuous noise and the parties won't be able to hear eachother anymore. It also sometimes happens that the party on the TDM400P hears a very loud, short-delay echo of themselves,
