Trouble getting SMS working
Hi, I have been trying to get my asterisk box to send SMS's to my Panasonic dect phone via a Linksys pap2. I believe I have the message centers setup correctly between * and the phone. The pap2 is configured to only use G711a. The Asterisk version is 1.0.7. In my /etc/asterisk/extensions.conf I have [smsphone] exten = 199,1,Goto(smsmorx,${CALLERIDNUM},1) [smsmorx] exten =

Digium FXO Card
Hi, I wish to know if GNUGk can work with * running as a gateway with the Digium FXO card. Kindly share your experiences in case there are some issues which one must know before going in for such a setup. Also, I've been reading about the DialTone detection capability by the hardware in different countries. What are the issues with it? Thanks & Regards, Deepak ----- Original Message

X100P pass through questions
Hi all, Really excited to be using Asterisk and learning about VOIP and PBX's. I'm a complete beginner at telephony but have built and installed Asterisk 1.4.5 and read several of the Asterisk books online and have successfully connected to FWD with IAX2 and to GIZMO using SIP. Just purchased a Motorola Wildcard X100P and installed it into a clone PC running Fedora Core 6. Analog

adit 600 fxo ports immediately "answers" outgoing calls (even if not connected to line)
I have an adit 600 with an fxo card connected to a digium T1 card. If I try to make an outgoing call and the T1 cable is disconnected, asterisks returns congested like it should. But, if the adit 600 is connected to the T1 card, the adit 600 immediately "answers" the call even if there are no physical lines attached. I even removed the fxo card and the adit 600 still

no audio on fxo line
Hi, I got back from two weeks away and appear to have lost audio on my tdm411 fxo. Everything was working properly when I left. I checked the logs, config files and can't see any problems, the zap channels and modules are all loaded properly, asterisk starts without probs and everything looks sweet on the colsole with -vvvvvvvvc when I make calls, but I just don't hear a dialtone or

TDM Card loses Dialtone and Battery
Hello all, I've posted on this problem before. Well here goes again. I have an intel mobo with a p4 2.4ghz proc, 1GB Ram. It has built-in ethernet and vga and 6 pci slots. I dreamed of making this my household communications server: internet router, firewall, vpn and asterisk. Everything works except the TDM fxs card. Well it works for a little while and it dies: no dialtone, no

Wait for dialtone feature on FXO device
Anyone interested in this feature? I have a version 0.1 patch, which is currently against 1.2.25-bristuffed, but which should port trivially to almost any version. I am away until Tuesday 8th April, but if there is enough interest, I will open a "new-feature" ticket and upload the patch to the bugtracker so that more capable programmers can laugh at it ;-) It should work reasonably on

Sipura-3000 - silent dial out on FXO port
I am trying to configure the FXO port on a Sipura-3000 for use with Asterisk. When I connect to the Sipura to dial out on the PSTN line connected to the Sipura's FXO port, it gives me the dialtone of the PSTN line and then I can hear the DTMF for the number I dialled beforehand. It does work but the customer perceives this delayed second DTMF feedback as "unprofessional" and the

Incoming call on LineJack's LINE/FXO is not answered by *
Hello All... I have searched in the archive and also followed Zara's instruction on getting incoming calls to work with Asterisk...but I still can't get Asterisk to answer incoming call on Linejack's LINE port. I attached a phone set to the PHONE port, and telco line to the LINE port on the Linejack(ISA) card. I have downloaded, compiled and installed the newest driver for

VoIP gateway (2 FXO, 2 FXS)
Does anyone know a good (and stable) voip gateway product with 4 ports (2 fxo and 2 fxs), with the following requirements: * being able to connect analog phones to the FXS ports, and communicate over SIP with an REGISTRAR/PROXY server (SER in our case). * being able to connect the FXO port to local office PSTN network, and dial to that office pstn number and getting an internal dialtone, or

Still looking for small fxo sip gateway
I've been looking around for a small external sip fxo gateway, sending emails to possible vendors, etc, and can not seem to come up with anything that fits. Suggestions anyone? (No channel bank & T1 card suggestions, please. I've also just completed an eval of the Mediatrix 1204 which does not support the requirements.) The market between two fxo pstn lines (pair of x100p's) and

Flash on X100P does not really flash.
Problem: Flash on X100P does not flash. Phone line has Call Transfer. With this line plugged into a regular phone, it can receive a phone call. Then, depress the hook momentarily, release. Dialtone is now available. Dial a different number. Call is answered. Hook Flash again, now in a three way call. Hang up. The other two parties are still in communication. Now, plug same line into the X100P.

Detect hangup on unanswered POTS call
I've been using * at home for a while now and I'm quite happy with how it works. Having voicemail emailed to me and notify my cell phone via SMS is a great way to impress my friends. :-) The inbound context for my X101P looks something like this: exten => s,1,Dial(SIP/analog1&SIP/analog2,20) exten => s,2,Answer exten => s,3,Voicemail(u1234) exten => s,4,Hangup The

Secondary Dialtone and selecting a specific line from Zap/g
I need to select a line from the Zap group channel using the SIP Phone (not FXO and not FXS ports). ignorepat does not work? Also, what is the method to let the second dial tone has another tone frequency? Regards Bilal ---------------- No, ignorepat is for FXS ports (FXS ports use FXO signaling). Also, ignorepat does not apply to SIP phones, because SIP phones provide their own dialtone,

Nortel ATA not passing dtmf tones to fxo
I am trying to integrate a Nortel Norstar system with an Asterisk service using a TDM04B card (4 fxo). So far everyting works from Asterisk to Nortel. The problem is when someone dials from the Nortel PBX to the Asterisk server. Asterisk answers the call and provides a dialtone (with DISA) but appartently the DTMF tones are not passed to asterisk and the call cannot proceed. This only

TDM400P slow getting line tone
Hello all, I just installed a TDM400P with 2 FXO modules on my asterisk server. The card works perfectly. To get users to ring out from my SIP phones i setup an extension with 0 that basically does something like this: extension => 0,1,Dial(ZAP/g1) where g1 is the group of the two FXO channels extension => 0,2,Hangup This works exactly as i want so users basically can dial 0, wait for

Dead FXO Module on TDM400P?
Since the irc channel wasn't any help, I will try posting my problem here. I have two TDM400Ps less than a week old in a PC. All of the FXS ports work fine, and all of the FXO ports worked fine up until thisafternoon. If I try to dial in, I get a busy signal, if I try to dial out, all I hear is a very scratchy, very crackly dialtone. If I swap the first FXO module with the second on the card,

Re : Newbie help !
hi.. nope I do know about x100p being the fxo and the usb device being the fxs ....fxo using fxs signalling and fxs using fxo signalling and it is reflected suitably in my zapata.conf and zaptel.conf... The problem is that the S100U usb device is not identified upon zap show channels ... only the 100xp wildcard is recognized....i get a sound when pressing the keypad of the phone connected to
