VoiceOne 0.4.0 released: a new web-based and open source GUI
Hi all!
We've released VoiceOne 0.4.0, a web-based and open source solution
which allows to fully manage an Asterisk service hosted on a LAMP server.
We focused on an charming and overall user-friendly interface. Thanks to
the authentication based on roles, once configured by a super user, the
PBX may be easily maintained even by an Asterisk unskilled users.

I started some things on the validation forms on the zapata/zaptel part
which is not included on the demo site. I hope I can get more help

Yeah, I wouldn't mind so much if it had actually answered the original
poster's query. "Switch to our proprietary solution and we can offer you
this proprietary solution" isn't a contribution, it's an ad.

Help with amportal: asterisk ended with exit status 127
Greetings. I am trying to get AMP up and going on my Asterisk server. I can
access the admin pages on my asterisk server via a web browser. I can add
and edit things via the web browser and it edits the database accordingly.
Everything seems fine except when I try to run 'amportal start'. Below is
what I get (Plus tail /var/log/asterisk/full, but the tail of the 'full' log

WebRTC as Softphone substitute ?
@Olivior
I agree that seting up WebRTC is hard, however when done it is smooth to
use. For replication you can build RPMs with working configurations.
Regarding stability, it is not being used widly, so can't say it is mature.
However we have no complain so far regarding audio or connectivity.
sometime we provide support for "allow media / mic" type issues, but you

PBX selection
The solution you choose should be based on many factors which should include your business requirements, team's experience, your budget, growth expectations and more.
You can choose Asterisk or Freeswitch as a platform and start building on that - but it is not simple and being new to VoIP you are likely to make mistakes. The "do-it-yourself" approach will some money initially, but

softphone instead of desktop phones
Thirdlane Connect can be used as a softphone. It works in modern browsers (no installation is required), on Mac, Windows and Linux desktops, and on mobile phones.
Besides basic softphone functionality, it provides instant messaging, group chat (channels), voice and video conferencing, and screen sharing. It integrates with a variety of applications and CRMs such as Salesforce, Zoho, Zendesk,

CDR Records "s" as dst
I am using VoiceOne http://voiceone.it/ as my management interface.
I am not 100% sure when it started, but my CDR is now full of "s" as
the DST instead of the actual dialed number.
As I understand it - it is because it is being recorded in the CDR
while in a macro (as below).
Is there any work around so that I can record the actual dialed number?

Configure WAN Phone
Hi,
I am relatively new to Asterisk and am looking for help in configuring an IP
based phone. This phone is not on the same subnet as the PBX. I read that
there could be an issue with NAT so I am bypassing this by connecting
temporarily with an Internet IP. So far, I have configured the server
extension with the phone MAC address along with configuring the phone unit
with IP, Gateway and SIP

Features you'd like to see in a GUI?
Sherwood,
Your intentions are noble and your desire to build this, fullfills an
immediate need for business.
If your intention is just to build a GUI for Asterisk, read no further.
If your desire is to build something more purposeful, your best bet
would be to see the existing commercial GUI/HostedPBX offerings like
Pbxware and Switchware from bicomsystems.com
