meetme music on hold - when only conference member problem
Hi, I have the following problem that when someone connects to my conference and is the only member music on hold is played just for one second or less and then stops: [Feb 1 10:38:46] -- Started music on hold, class 'default', on channel 'SIP/sip.touk.pl-0083dad0' [Feb 1 10:38:46] -- Stopped music on hold on SIP/sip.touk.pl-0083dad0 I use the following command to

RE: Music on hold for first person in a conference room
I have successfully set up a conference room on my asterisk server, I have been trying to make the 'M' for music on hold option work (when the first person enters the room they are told they are the first and then they are supposed to hear music on hold) but it didn't matter which way I wrote it this feature wouldn't work. Basically it wouldn't allow the conference to be

RE: [Asterisk-Dev] Several patches, includin g recording and music -on-hold
Thanks Ben, Adam and Petr for the feedback! So currently things that need to be done for the Monitor resource are: 1. Name files uniquely. Adam, your naming suggestion is great. I think we should stick with that, with a minor change: I don't think we should put destination channel name in the file names. In some instances there will be no destination channels (plain IVR: play, record, dtmf),

RE: [Asterisk-Dev] Several patches, including recording and music -on-hold
Mahmut, excellent summary :-). I look forward to your next update. One little thing, In the manager events that show start/stop monitoring, can you please include a field that indicates the filename(s) to which the monitoring was written? Conference room as Music on Hold
Here is what I am trying to do. I have a SIP soft phone running on a PC that is streaming a local radio station. I assigned "mono out" in XP Equalizer as the mic so now I have the softphone streaming audio. I then create a conference room and dial that room from the softphone. Now anyone who joins the conference room hears the streaming audio. How can I configure Asterisk so that

Music on hold and conferencing on OS X
We're setting up asterisk at the office (really doing some testing right now) and it is going to be hosted on a dual G5 XServe running OS X. We're an apple certified solutions provider, etc. so we want to build all our stuff on apple hardware and software. Anyway, the last sticking point is moh and meetme. Is there any solution to get moh and meetme working on OS X? Meetme

RE: [Asterisk-Dev] Several patches, including recording and music -on-hold
Mahmut, First of all, I'd like to reiterate what a great patch this has been. I'd also like to voice support for having an option to mix the files on the fly, and name them uniquely. While I was able to smoothly put the files together with soxmix, I see on the fly mixing as hugely beneficial to an automated solution to saving/delivering the messages without intervention. One feature,

(Yet another) Music on hold problemand another...
Type 'mpg123' at the Linux CL. (no quotes) If the version is anything other than 59r, you problem is solved. Go to the Wiki and search for Music On Hold. Do the install of version 59r ONLY as described in the docs. Queues without music on hold ?
Hello List, This must be an easy one... I'd like to setup a queue without music on hold - just give the callers the traditional ringing tones. However, not setting the musiconhold parameter in queues.conf does not seem to do the trick: it defaults to "default" moh class which: a) Gets played if it exists b) Doesn't get played if it doesn't, but the caller

Music on hold not initiating RTP stream?
I've been having problems getting MusicOnHold to work, so I've dumbed down my setup to as simple of a setup as I can. Asterisk 1.0.9. SIP ATA's (Sipura SPA-2002's) <SIP ATA 1> <---> <Asterisk> <---> <SIP ATA 2> Both ATA's have public IP's. No NAT'ing going on here. Reinvites are allowed so the media stream bypases Asterisk once a call

Park() ignores 'r' option which should disable music on hold in favour of ringing tone
When I receive a call, I want to automatically park it from the dialplan so that I can retrieve it later. However, I don't want callers to be aware that they are being parked, so I want to play a ringing tone to the caller. Park() is supposed to be able to do this: Park([timeout][,return_context[,return_exten[,return_priority[,options[,parking_lot_name]]]]]) options r: Send ringing

Hi Wade, Sorry for replying so late. I had been sucked into other tasks for a while and only now can catch up with the list. > When I dial my iaxtel number from my extension on channel > Zap/15, I get two > files recorded in /var/spool/asterisk/monitor: > > Zap-15-1-in.wav and Zap-15-1-out.wav and they sound fine. > > When I dial again, it overwrites the same two files.

Music On Hold Between Servers
Can someone tell me how Asterisk handles music-on-hold between servers? Documentation for this is non-existent. Lets say user A, who is registered on pbx1, calls user B, who is registered on pbx2. 1. User A puts user B on hold. The moh that is played to user B should be specified according to user A. Which pbx box should this be set on? pbx1? pbx2? Both? 2. Is the situation any different if the

Temporarily placing confbridge participants on hold - two way muting
Is there a way of temporarily suspending participants in a conference? Say I have 5 users, A,B,C,D,E and I wish A, B and C to have a discussion in the confbridge session that D and E can't hear, is there a way to suspend D and E for a while (whilst they are played music or whatever) and later join them back in? Failing that, I was considering kicking them and using an AGI script to rejoin

Redhat 9 Music on hold
I have read every thread, I have Redhat 9, Asterisk 1.0.6, 2 T1 lines connected via TE405P. Everything works great, except MOH. I added an exten with MusicOnHold(30), and it plays just fine. Conferences have music when no one is in. I have SIP phones. When I place a call on hold, the CLI give no indication the call is on hold. I have set musiconhold(default) everywhere, removed it from everywhere,

Disabling Music On Hold
Hello, I have been trying to completely disable music on hold on my asterisk system. When a call is put on hold I do not want any music on hold, but I would like the remote user to get informed of this event (depending on the technology e.g. with a SIP reinvite and an SDP indicating the call is on hold). I have searched and tried out various approaches, but when putting the call on hold
