least cost routing and asterisk-1.4
Can someone guide me on what package I can use to do least cost routing
in asterisk-1.4 without going through the prepaid calling card platforms.
I have tried Asterisk::LCR and LCDial without success, if more help on
either too. I will be glad.
I will be glad for good pointers.
Thanks.

Least Cost Routing
Hello,
does anyone know of a good calling card solution for asterisk that is
able to do lcr?
Does astcc do this? I've been searching around and I can find some lcr
modules/apps but none that incorporate prepaid card functionality.

Self Contained Least Cost Routing Solution
Hello Everyone,
We are aware of a2billing and it's LCR functionality. I just wanted to
know what other solutions you may be using. Maybe a tool that is a
self contained module (ie a2billinig -> Asterisk -> LCR Tool ->
Trunk). Is there such a tool? It should be open source as is all good
software.
Kind Regards,

Least Cost Routing - Are you doing it? What are you using?
Greetings.
I've been playing with the TrollPhone Rate Engine Addon for a week or so.
I'm curious what is being used out there for LCR applications?
I've run into a stump with the Rate Engine and that is the costing is done
with an integer. With this, how do you put in say 0.014 / minute rate. And
if your periods are not 60 seconds.. well.. then you have even more places

Least Cost Routing
Anyone using the rate_engine from TrollPhone? There is absolutly no
documentation on how to setup data in the tables. If someone could send
sample data, or post it to the wiki, it would be helpful.
If any others are successfully using another Least Cost Routing method,
please pass it along.
THanks,

Pattern matching rules for least cost routing
I've got two patterns I want to match on making an outgoing call...
(one day - to do Least Cost Routing for Cell/Mobile calls)
Firstly - I prefer '0' rather than '9' to get an outside line...
Either its a call to a mobile No... (072 -or- 082 -or- 083 -or- 084)
or its just another number to dial...
I added the following... the playback just advises me which 'route' is

We need Asterisk (stable version) to be able to perform a 2B channel

The downside of Asterisk and least cost routing...
I forgot to pay this month's phone bill, and never noticed until family
(the in-laws, who are too cheap to try the cell phone if landline fails,
because it is 'more expensive') told me they were unable to reach us...
As it turns out, the phone company disconnected us, but because Asterisk
routes all outgoing calls in the Netherlands over VoipBuster, I never
noticed anything! ;-)

[PATCH] xen: extract register definitions from ns16550 into a separated header
Since both UART driver codes on Allwinner A31, OMAP5 and x86 would use
these definitions, we refactor the codes into a separated header to avoid
unnecessary duplication.

centos5 iptables expert needed
Hello,
I'm setting up a centos5 router for a friend. It will direct traffic to
an internal webserver, already in place, as well as run squid proxy. It
should do nat and have a firewall with iptables. I've set up routers before
for this purpose but always of the bsd type and using their firewalls. I
understand the concepts, nat, packet filtering, etc. but i'm not getting

expert advice needed - prototype.js vs. x library
Hello,
I''m looking for some expert advice since I''m quite a newbie when it comes to
programming.
I realized that a lot of people(programs) are using the prototype.js and
honestly, I cannot see why.
Right, prototype has some nice AJAX support but it is lacking a
documentation.
I recently came accross cross-browser.com and saw their xlibrary - to me it
seems that xlibrary

Practical limit on dial prefixes for a route
Colleagues,
We're in the process of standardizing on Sprint PCS and Cingular phones on a
national basis (~ 50 properties, 1000's of lines). I manage an Asterisk
install at one location.
I've been looking at the Multitech CellFinder CDMA for Sprint as a dial
backup solution. Basically, it's a CDMA to POTS gateway, tied to a PCS
account. We would see it as a trunk line and I

Routing incoming call based on caller id
I am not that good at regex and it's use in Asterisk. I am running
Asterisk 1.4.13
Currently I have this in my extensions.conf for incoming calls on our
house phone line:
[housemenu]
exten => s,1,GotoIF($["${CALLERID(num)}" = "815xxxxxxx"]?s|12);
815xxxxxxx is our home phone number, when caller id fails or is missing
that is what is recorded.
I want to expand this

My client is launching a new open source trouble ticket system. The

They have no PR budget so we are looking for someone who can use their

Someone who has experience pitching bloggers would be a plus.
