CentOS-7-x86_64-dvd-2009.iso is too big for DVD blanks
I need help from someone experienced with the CentOS bug tracking system. I gotta say it is one of the most complicated and imposing front ends I've ever seen. Could anyone familiar with it please file a bug on my behalf? Particulars: "CentOS 7.9.2009 DVD iso image too large" ISO image: CentOS-7-x86_64-DVD-2009.iso 4.7GB?raw CD image Wed Nov ?4 05:37:25 2020 Burners: Both K3B and

Created a DVD from Gnome Desktop -CentOS-5.3
I am trying to put the dvd iso image of CentOS-5.4 onto a DVD. I have an LG multi-writer installed. I have used this device on this host to created CDs in the past but this is my first attempt at creating a dvd. When I put a blank DVD-R media in the drive then I see a desktop icon for "CD-ROM Disc" created. When I open the bittorent folder and click on the iso image

isolinux 2.0+ won't boot from DVD
I am trying to rebuild Red Hat Linux 9 on DVD. I am using the provided isolinux 2.00 (I tried the latest 2.04, with the same results), and I get an error trying to boot from the DVD. I burned the boot.iso (basically a triple-wide boot disk using the same isolinux directory) to DVD, and it booted fine. The error I get when booting the DVD using isolinux-debug.bin is this (copied by hand):

MD5Sum for CentOS-3.1 DVD iso?
Hello everyone. Thanks to everyone who made this project possible. This is my first post, although I have looked at the archives. I haven't found an answer to this in the archives, so I thought I would post it here. I've downloaded the DVD iso for CentOS-3.1 from BitTorrent, and I'm leaving my torrent open for another day or so to help out. I see there is an MD5Sum file for the

Custom CentOS DVD, isolinux.bin, and isohybrid...
I was given a custom CentOS 5.4 DVD, containing some Digium software for one of our customers. I need to turn this burned DVD into an image that can be written to a USB thumb drive. First, I ripped the DVD to an ISO image. That part works OK, my testing VM can load and run the custom kickstart script on the image. After totally frying my unetbootin install, I decided to try and use isohybrid

CentOS 6.0 i386 DVD
Anybody have tricks to write the i386 ISO image to DVD? I've tried DVD+-RW, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD-R in both Windows 7 (two different writers) and rebooted into CentOS 6 (x86_64) and tried cdrecord (now called wodim). On wodim I've tried overburn, reducing speeds, etc. All give the same results: the same number of bytes are written - indicating the disc is full (according to my calculations)

Centos DVD -
I have been trying to run Centos 6 and 7 in virtualbox on this Fedora23 computer. Actually I also tried Scientific Linux and a DVD copy of Fedora 21 XFCE Live that I had on hand. The Fedora21 works as expected but I seem to be missing something in Centos and Scientific Linux. They boot and run with a text screen but startx reports "command not found" and a ping to other than
