Voicemail() app not available?
Hi all, I have a demo machine I'm running up on Lenny - it has the packaged Asterisk version installed (1.4.21.2+stuff). I'm trying to add an extension to leave a voicemail message, just with Voicemail(1234), which I've done before (on 1.2 at least), but it's saying "no application 'Voicemail' ". "module show like voi" shows

"Cannot native bridge" on licensed G729
Hi folks, In an effort to save bandwidth (our 7905s run over a WAN) we've switched from ulaw to g729a. We purchased 4 licenses from Digium (4 SIP clients, low call volume), and they seem to have been accepted: [codec_g729a.so] => (Annex A/B (floating point) G.729/PCM16 Codec Translator) == G.729 Host-ID: 07:53:aa:d3:e2:f2:bd:cc:27:60:9d:5f:da:eb:5d:e9:6e:09:a1:4e == Found license

OT: Explain where mailing list bouncing comes from ?
Me too, also gmail. I emailed the list owner a couple of days ago, but no reply. Is everyone else affected also forwarding to another email address (gmail or not)? Could be wrong, but I'm guessing there may be an incorrect DMARC policy somewhere - although this is the only fail I could find in the headers. bounces at lists.digium.com; dmarc=fail (p=NONE sp=NONE dis=NONE)

Busy message on ISDN cards?
Hi all, I'm new to asterisk and not too knowledgeable on ISDN, so please be gentle :) I have a dual-channel Eicon Diehl Diva card in a Debian Woody box with kernel 2.4.27, connecting to a Telstra (Australia) Onramp Home Highway ISDN line. I'm pretty certain the card and line both work since they've been used in this machine for PPP before this (but with an older kernel with DoV

OT: Explain where mailing list bouncing comes from ?
Another "me too" (also Gmail). I just received my 4th "account suspended, too many bounces" email, after having several days of lost mailing list content over a short vacation break the last time. When I notified the admin email account of the failure, it seemed the responder missed the point about the emails, saying the link had expired (it had been more than three days

Indication of transfer on display
Hi all, I'm using asterisk 1.0.2 (the Debian Sarge package) with Cisco 7905G phones (SIP firmware). I've defined a macro to do some custom CallerID stuff for our 100-number ISDN range (so we can see what line they've called). What I'd like to do is have the phone display update (to the original called number?) when an incoming call is transferred from one phone to another. At

Something similar to Doxygen for standard dialplan?
How are we all documenting complex dialplan? Is there something similar to Doxygen? I've got around 20 config files covering around 60 contexts and 40 variables. Of course, I've maintained a basic list of the major stuff, and documented the code throughout, but it's grown to the stage where it needs to be better documented, have a proper flowchart etc. Talking of flowcharts, I see

Dial Plan Logic Problem
Hi I can't for the life of me work out why this is not working. When in the campon contect if you hit a DTMF key 2 you get moved to the exten => 2 defined in the mainmenu context not the exten => 2 defined in the campon context. What is wrong? The same happens if you hit key 1. [campon] exten => _*1XXX,1,Answer exten => _*1XXX,2,SetCallerID(${CALLERIDNUM}) exten =>

dial plan logic
Just starting to enjoy the full features of asterisk, I do have a couple questions though, that I can't seem to find answers for in the wiki, just wondering if someone could light my way. after a caller has made their choice of options in the dial plan, I would like them to be placed on "hold" (music, not ringing) while the system processes through the rest of the dial plan

Question about documentation for ConnectTimeout
Hello OpenSSH folks, This was a really minor knit, but I noted while I was developing a pexpect module for ssh that setting ConnectTimeout to 0 in the options to ssh sets the login timeout to infinite time. I was wondering whether or not this was a documentation bug and/or potential clarification that could to be made, or if this was a software bug that needs to be fixed. I don't see

Something similar to Doxygen for standard dialplan?
Hi, thanks - that looks really good! I was about to embark on some non-visual stuff using Ragic, but this looks great. Is there a binary anywhere, or any instructions to compile? I've never compiled C# code before, and although a quick google suggests it shouldn't be too hard, I might need to know a few things like what version of .net it should be compiled with. The readme just points

Email Alerts for Multiple UPSs with upssched
There's supposedly another way with a custom upsmon.conf: NOTIFYMSG type message upsmon comes with a set of stock messages for various events. You can change them if you like. NOTIFYMSG ONLINE "UPS %s is getting line power" NOTIFYMSG ONBATT "Someone pulled the plug on %s" Note that %s is replaced with the identifier of the UPS in question. The message must be one

Email Alerts for Multiple UPSs with upssched
This was the secret sauce! I first modified my BASH script to stuff the output of the 'set' command into a variable, then passed that variable in to my email command. Then I triggered an event and saw what variables were there in the body of the message. Voila! $UPSNAME and $NOTIFYTYPE were there and available. I modified the script to pump THOSE into the mail command, and the problem

Dial application "b" subroutine arguments not passing?
Asterisk 11.1.0 I'm trying to use the "b" subroutine of the Dial application so that I can do some stuff with our internal applications that need to have access to the called channel information. I can see that the subroutine is being executed, but the arguments I pass don't see to make it to the subroutine. [callmenow] exten => s,1,NoOp(callmenow: Queue without answer)

Linking Fortran subroutines
Hi, I just started using R a few weeks ago and have a problem with linking Fortran subroutines to R. For some reasons, I need to compile a Fortran program in R (or Splus) and the whole program consists a couple of subroutines, say, subA and subB. There is no difficulty in linking the subroutines individually, but two subroutines are nested, as shown below, SUBROUTINE subA(arg.) EXTERNAL

Question about building library and BLAS
Dear helpers, I am trying to create a library which uses some Fortran source files and Lapack and Blas subroutines. The Fortran source files from the original author contain subroutines isamax.f, sgefa.f and sgesl.f, which are part of BLAS subroutines on my Linux computer, but maybe different (old) versions. So in addition to these subroutines, there are other Lapack and Blas subroutines
