more cpu intensive echo cancellers ?
Hi,
I've had some decent luck with the mark3 echo canceller from the zaptel
driver, echos on about 20% of the calls, people I've called say I sound
great now, but our side hears echos.
I was wondering if there was any way to tweak the current software
cancelers into using more CPU (and hopefully doing a better job, close
to a hardware canceler), I only have 10 lines, and a single call

ECHO Cancellation in SIP Calls
Hi,
i am from Germany, so excuse my School English.
I use Asteriks 1.2.12.1, zaptel 1.2.9 and mISDN Rc25 - since my update
of Asterisk 2 wooks ago, Echos accure in my SIP Calls.
I use SNOM 360, sometimes there is no echo (for example if i call myself
via SIP->Asterisk->SIPProvider->TELEKOM->ISDN)
but if i call other people there occures Echo many times. The Routing is

Fun with Echo
I've spent the last week or so troubleshooting echo problems at my
Wife's business, and I've been able to clear up about 99% of the
echo, but there is still a little residual echo that I can't seem to
"tweak out". The users describe it as "buzzing or crackling", but
what it sounds like to me is a slight echo, but just of one syllable
of the word.

HW Echo Cancellers
Hi,
To solve echo problems, I'm considering 2
alternatives.
1> Sangoma A104d
- I can't find support for asterisk 1.2.1
2> Desktop echo canceller
-
http://www.oriontelecom.com/echo_canceller/desktop/e1_ec_desktop.html
- I want to know where to buy and price.
Any suggestion is appreciated.
Thanks.

Is this echo problem down to IP Phone hardware?
Hello
I have a Grandstream GXP2000 with latest firmware. When I use it holding the handpiece I don't hear any echo - neither does other end. However, if I use it handsfree, the other end notices echo when they speak - ie their voice is echoy. I hear their voice being a bit echoy.
Is this purely down to the IP Phone? Is there anything I can do about it? I considered buying a more

Stand-alone echo cancellation
Hello all,
I'm a hardware person who has recently found himself thrust into a
software role. So, please forgive any ignorance in the following
questions. I've tried to do my homework reading the relevant manual
pages and investigating the Doxygen documentation. :-)

BAD echo problems with Sangoma and Telstra
Hello,
We have an Asterisk 1.0.9 machine with a Sangoma A101 card fitted, it is
connected to a Telstra OnRamp E1 in Melbourne, Australia. The problem
we are experiencing is extreme echo and clicking noises.
These are only audible to the calling party, e.g. the person calling in
from the PSTN to Asterisk via the E1, the person on the SIP handset
cannot hear any echo or clicking, only the

TDM-400, Polycom SIP phones, and echo problems
Hi:
I am working on a new system with a TDM-400P card with three FXO modules
and one FXS module.
The system has been in place for a week. Users are complaining of echo
problems. I have noticed this echo myself. It varies in severity. It is
sometimes bad enough to make it difficult to converse, but the users
find it generally unacceptable. They miss their old phones, which just
worked. As you can

SV: BAD/GOOD Echo Cancel
Im curious. Does anyone have experienced echo-problems that later where solved by buying a hardware-echo canceller such as the Wildcard TE411P?

acoustic echo canceller & noise reduction sample code
Hello?
My name is Hyeonwoo Oh.
I?m developing video conference software using speex library.
Can you give me some sample codes for acoustic echo canceller and noise
reduction?
I tried noise reduction API, but failed.
Normal encode/decode API is working well.
Thank you very much for your good job.
I?m very pleased with speex.
Best regards,

Echo cancellation and DTMF from the Asterisk console?
Hi,
I'd like to try using a good quality microphone and a set of PC speakers
(in the first instance) to create a powerful speakerphone; if I get that
working, I'll probably try more elaborate audio equipment.
For this to work, I'll need software acoustic echo cancellation, or the
caller at the other end will constantly hear his/her voice echoing back.
I gather Asterisk can do

Echo Canceller on Windows Mobile
Hi Jean Marc,
We are running the speex echo canceller code on a Windows Mobile smartphone using a TI OMAP 201MHz 850. We are making voip calls and audio is working without echo canceller code. Simply adding the following 2 functions whether the echo cancellation is wired in (ie we use the output frame ) or not performance becomes terrible. Note 2 separate threads are used to handle audio.

Cisco's description of echo
We are having trouble with an installation that is getting a lot of echo on
some calls. The installation is all SIP phones and they have a VoIP provider.
When we call through the voip provider and into another of their customers
(voip throughout) there is no echo problem. If we call in their landline,
through the TDM400's FXO to one of the SIP phones, there is no echo problem.

Speex 1.1.9 is out -- Try the new echo canceller
Hi everyone,
I've just released Speex 1.1.9. The main change in this release is the
echo canceller work sponsored by Tipic Inc (http://www.tipic.com/). It
is now possible to do acoustic echo cancellation and obtain good
attenuation after a short adaptation time. This has been tested at 8
kHz, but it should also work at 16 khz and above, so give it a try.
There were also some fixes to the

wanpipe and digium, oslec and hardware echo canceller
Hello All;
Wanpipe is working only with sangoma cards so it does not work with digium cards?
Also, who is better: to have echo canceler built in with the hardware or using olsec?

Echo cancellation diagnostic code
All I can say for now is that:
1) My diagnostic tool does funny things that need to be fixed
2) It was probably also getting confused by the clicks at the end of the
files
3) There seems to be odd things with your recordings, though I can't say
what that would be. Are you changing something during the recording by
any chance? Note that if a person close to the mic of speaker moves,
