Sound quality issue in one direction and wctdm problem with APIC enabled kernel
I'm chasing down a pop/click type of disturbance on a PBX system.
Strangely, the disturbance is only heard by the outside caller, the
internal recipient hears the caller crystal clear. This seems to have
crept up when upgrading the zaptel driver to the 1.2 series while
running 1.0.10. I went ahead and upgraded the entire system to 1.2.4.
The system is a ~2Ghz AMD 32bit system, with 512MB of

[VC++ calling R] How to create a real-time interactive ticking time-series chart using dygraph via RInside?
Hi all,
I am trying to figure out how to do this in R and I need your help.
My journey started from something like the following:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11365857/real-time-auto-updating-incremental-plot-in-r/1#1
n=1000
df=data.frame(time=1:n,y=runif(n))
window=100
for(i in 1:(n?\window)) {
flush.console()
plot(df$time,df$y,type='l',xlim=c(i,i+window))
Sys.sleep(.09)
}

Recommended SIP phones?
I am dying here with linphone (not sure if it is crap software or just me
being an idiot) but out of the box debian installations of two linphones fail
with a "Got SIP response 415 "Unsupported Media Type" back from 192.168.1.3"
Can anybody recommend a particular SIP soft phone that broadly satisfies the
following criteria?
1. Run on linux.
2. Simple to use and setup.
3. Is

speex_jitter_buffer and DTX (and multiple streams)
Hi,
I have a few questions about the speex_jitter_buffer when used with
DTX here goes:
I want to use the speex_jitter_buffer with muliple streams (multi
client) and with DTX so that clients will only transmit data when they
are actually saying anything, but Im unsure of how the ticking is
handled.
I have 1 x SpeexJitter struct per client stream

3COM NBX SuperStack 3
Hi,
I've looked pretty wide on Google for this so I don't think it's been
asked before. Has anyone had experience integrating Asterisk with a 3COM
NBX system? The only way that I can see that looks possible is via the
3Com NBX ConneXtions H.323 product and then one of the H.323 Asterisk
channels.
Has anyone done this? Any pointers as to what to avoid or whether to
even attempt it?

dsync crash
Hello,
I am getting a persistent seg fault while trying to sync our server to a new location.
We are on 2.2.33.2, due for an upgrade but we have used dsync successfully in the past. In fact, we used it to populate this same instance. So I hope this is just a configuration issue.
My logs are being filled with these errors::

why zap call transfer fails?
Hi,
I am configuring Asterisk with TDM400 card with 1 FXS and 1 FXO
module. My first goal is to allow phones to be able to call out
through the asterisk PBX.
After channels and dial plans setup, Zap/1 connect to phone and Zap/4
connect to provider , when I dial the phone, the following message
shows in the asterisk console

Starting simple switch on 'Zap/1-1'

analog phone connects to zaptel fxoks is beeping
Hi,
I have a analog phone connect to a WCTDM card.
It used to work fine. Now recently, after several conf change and power
restart,
it stops working.
Whenever I pickup the phone, instead of hearing the dial tone, I hear a
busing beeping
tone, like a machine gun is firing. :) However, from asterisk console, I do
see a a
OffHook/OnHook message, but whatever I dial in the phone keypad seems not

Slightly broken audio on USB headset?
I have a Logitech USB headset which I have used very successfully on
Windows for a long time.
The other day I thought I would try it out on my CentOS 5 server, which
doesn't have its own sound hardware (HP ML110).
On plugging it in, all the required modules magically got loaded, and
the "play" command would play sound files as expected.
However, at all times when playing a sound

Aki, thanks.
I forgot to write this is meant as a plain vanilla pop/imap multi

needed

Again: Re: MSN keeps disconnecting with load balancing (fwd)
This ''MSN'' is a web site? Im guessing it ''refresh''es every 5 minutes or
so.
They are proably testing cookies against the ip address they appear to be
comming from. This is horribly wreckless of them if they arnt offering
IPv6. Are they? They only way i have to remedy this problem is to get
their IP range and bind it to the most stable connexion you have,
