Is there a way to do this? I have something like this: In voicemail.conf: [default] #include "vmail_accounts.conf" 5551234567 => 0000, Customer, email@domain.com 5552234567 => 0000,

voicemail.conf overwritten
I'm trying to set up a base * configuration in a version control system. I have nearly all the system-specific configuration pulled out into a subdirectory so that /etc/asterisk is very generic and I can copy it into another system when I create it. The only stickler is voicemail.conf. Includes within voicemail.conf will work, but when a user changes their password, * cannot put the change

monitor using incorrect path
Hello, I have been noticing the following behaviour with the monitor command.. Normally it records to the default location and then uses soxmix to create the correct wav file. But for some reason sometimes it doesn't use /var/spool/asterisk/monitor/.. but //var/spool/asterisk/monitor/.. (notice the 2 // in front!) Here is some logging: monitor executing ( nice -n 19 soxmix

#include not working with *1.0.9
We are running * V1.0.9 on a demo box. We have set up everything in our dialplan and we have a directory where we store individual extension settings. That directory is called "extensions-phones.d" and it contains a number of .conf files. In my extensions.conf file I have put a #include "extensions-phones.d/*.conf" in my [globals] context If we reload and restart *, and

How to let ZAPHFC work with and act on different incoming MSNs?
Hi all, I'm struggling some time now with this problem. Googling and searching on this topic did not deliver the answer yet, so my last hope is this list. Analogue to the things which are possible with modem.conf, where I can configure the MSN's to act on, I would like to have similar functionality. This is the idea: I have 1 ISDN line, it can be reached by 4 different MSN's. I have

static linking
Has anyone tried or had success statically linking Asterisk? I'd like to do this to deploy to smaller boxes that don't have the toolchain and libraries to build the thing. I've tried using statifier (at sf.net) which claims to take a dynamic executable and transform it into a static executable. It seemed to work on my box, but when I tried it on the target box it did this:

(I'm trying to make a bash file call the app_rxfax application which is on extension 123) Thanks, Michelle -------------- next part -------------- An HTML

hangs on dovecot test77, mutt
Hi My toy mail server runs dovecot. My client is mutt, which I use normally use a a remote screen session. I normally connect to imap locally: account-hook imap://localhost/ 'set tunnel="/usr/local/bin/imap-local"' After a long frustration from the new mail notification in 0.99, I have decided to bite the bullet and try the -test series. Ever since I have not had stable mutt

Motherboard and processor recommendations
I agree, use either SCSI with hardware raid with a battery backed cache or use sata/ide with linux software raid. Linux raid SCSI also works well, but if you go for the scsi drives might as well get the controller too. The "firmware" raid on the cheap sata/ide cards have left me stranded several times, I have had experiences were both an HP and Promise IDE raid controller have SCRAMBLED
