T1 PRI shows yellow/red alarm
We are running Asterisk version 1.4.23-1, libpri-1.4.9 and
zaptel-1.4.12.1 and two Digium TE220Ps. Debugs are set to 10.
We have a T1 PRI connected to the telco. Over the last 4-5 days, we
have getting Yellow/Red alarms coming from the T1 PRI. The other two
ports in use are connected to internal test switches (Avaya
Legend/Avaya Definity), and are not showing any errors.

TE405P intermittent yellow alarm
Folks,
I really hope you can help me here - I'm beginning to tear my hair out!
About 10 days ago my company moved to a new office. As a result of this,
we've plugged our PBX box, which has happily been running for the last
three years, into our new E1 line. Since then, I've been seeing
intermittent yellow alarms. Obviously, since this was working fine in
the old office, the thing to

Yellow Alarm issues with second TE410P installed
Hi,
Ok, I put the new TE410 into our system last night - This is the second
TE410P card. There is also TDM400P in Slot 5 with IRQ 9 which is shared
with aic7xxx (SCSI)
According to "cat /proc/interrupts", the new card is in the second slot
using IRQ 11 (the first card is in slot 1 on IRQ 10 - but always has been).
With only the original card install, there has been no issues with

Explain Yellow Alarm in a Legacy Integration
How would you categorize a Yellow Alarm sensed by the Asterisk side in a
Legacy PBX integration?
We have a Mitel SX200 connected to an Asterisk(1.2.4) with a TE110P.
Twice today (first time in over a month) we received a Yellow Alarm on the
TE110P. I have been able to clear it easily by restarting zaptel.
Thanks in advance!

te110p stays in red alarm
Folks,
I installed a te110p to connect to an E-1. Ensured the jumper is on
for E-1, installed the card, and got the following from the phone
company:
hdb3 encoding (verbally confirmed ccs)
euroisdn switchtype
pri signalling
So I set up zaptel.conf:
span=1,1,0,ccs,hdb3
bchan=1-15
unused=17-31
dchan=16
loadzone=us
defaultzone=us
Card tries to come up but goes into RED alarm. Occasionally cycles

HA8 cards and RED alarm
Hi,
I have 2 servers: one is running 2 B410P cards with 8 euroisdn lines
(mISDN) connected on it, everything runs fine.
I prepare a new server - HP 360 G8- with 2 HA8 cards each of them 1
module of 4 lines. Already had with this machine an RMA on both cards as
they was faulty and crashed the server.
What happends is that when I connect cables on the HA8 modules (those
cables are unpluged

Calling out on PSTN over a TDM400P seems to generate a Red Alarm -
whatever that is. I have another extension on the PSTN, and I can dial
out over that. zttool shows no alarms.

Description of Zaptel/DAHDI E1 alarms
Hello,
I am missing any description of zaptel/DAHDI alarms. The TE200 series
user manual contains only a description of LEDs states. These alarms
states are visible in zttool/dahditool or in astersick CLI (zap show
status) and I wonder what is the real meaning of these alarms for E1
channel.
Possible alarm states (based on zaptel.h 1.2):
1. No alarms
2. Recovering from alarm
3. In loopback

Questions about alarm reporting in Asterisk
I am currently helping a friend build an Asterisk PBX that spans
several cities using anything from T1s to DSL connections to
link remote SIP phones, IAX gateways, etc. to a central Asterisk
PBX server that serves up voicemail, features, etc. The biggest problem
that I have had with this system appears to be the leading problem that
my day job company finds with their VOIP deployments: Most

Monitoring for an alarm
I found one of UPS has a
ups.alarm : Battery charger fail! Internal UPS fault!
Is there a way to monitor for this kind of failure? In upsmon I did not
find and event type for alarms like this...
Thanks
