Poll: what features are you lusting for in v4
While we're waiting on the keebler elves to make the new CentOS 4, what feature(s) are you most lusting after in RHEL/CentOS 4? For me: - official Mysql 4!!! (man does this make me happy) - official Subversion ..are my top two, they will make me a happy camper for so many projects. :) Sure sure the 2.6 kernel is nice, but that super-patched 2.4 kernel on v3 seems to work quite well

Centos at FOSDEM in Brussels?
Hi, I'm a Centos user in Brussels, BE. I'll be going to the FOSDEM conference next weekend and I was thinking about printing up and giving out centos CDs while there. 1) any other centos folks going to be at FOSDEM? 2) any guidelines for printing CD's - I can only run 50 or 100... regards, -Ryan -- Ryan Sweet <ryan.sweet at aoes.com> Advanced Operations and

RHEL3 ES to CentOS-3.1 - Possible??
Hello, Does anyone know if it is possible to move from RHEL ES 3 to CentOS-3.1? I've seen How-To's for RH9 --> CentOS-3, but nothing for the more horizontal move of EL3 --> CentOS3. Thanks in advance, Doug _________________________________________________________________ Don?t just search. Find. Check out the new MSN Search!

*very* raw script for a new email server
All, I'm putting up a new email server, but I can't afford downtime when I switch servers. So, I've been writing a script that will take a CentOS install and turn it into a secure email server with Spam Assassin, Amavis-new, ClamAV and external relay using SASL authentication. The script is still *very* raw, and I'm relatively new to bash script writing. I still have some

observe_field question
I''m sure this is a simple problem, but I''ve been working on it for a couple days and can''t seem to figure out the correct way to structure my observe_field call. The HTML and Javascript generated all appear correct, but the AJAX call is never made. Below is the code I''m using and any help would be much appreciated. models_controller.rb def

Proposed table specification (long!)
Gentlefolk, I have been thinking on Markdown's lack of "proper" table support for a long while now. Here's where I have arrived... ## I Don't Like HTML Tables It is often argued that embedded HTML is the way to markdown rich tables. Unfortunately, this contradicts the higher markdown ideal that a raw markdown document (including tables!) should be good 1. Firstly for

Secondary Groups and Group Mapping
We are having what appears to be two main issues in our attempt to setup Samba 3.0.0 compiled from src on Solaris 8. We are using Samba to provide Unix shares on W2K clients, and to authenticate against a W2K Active Directory server. OpenLDAP is used on the Samba side for the UID/GID to SID mappings. The first issue deals with the file sharing. Even if a file gives full permission to one of a

Looking for better "Follow Me"
Hi everybody :) I am a new member here and hope that someone gives me a hint for my problem: Let's say I am at work and my SIP phone (KPhone in my case) is connected to my private Asterisk. I want to call my wife at home so her SIP phone rings. She does not pick up the phone (maybe she is somewhere in the house and has to run to the phone) so after 15 seconds her cell phone should ring.

Grandstream GXP2000 resetting all the time
All, I have AAH 1.0 installed using Digium TDM04B and Grandstream GXP2000 phones. All seems well other than the phones have to be reset up to 5 times per day. It is like they lose thier ip connection or maybe thier SIP connection. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I have the phones set for static IP addresses and that doesnt seem to help either. Any help would be greatly

acts_as_versioned
Hi, I'm integrating acts_as_versioned (ar-versioned.rubyforge.org) in my customized CMS rails application to set up revision control for pages. Getting and viewing versions works allright, but when I try to revert to a version in the following way, nothing happens to the actual data in the object. LLVM 3.9 RC binaries should NOT disable assertions.
> I would argue that you should build the RC and the release the same way. I've had to fix bugs were someone had an assert with a side-effect, and the code with asserts turned off didn't work. OK, so it's clearly important to provide and test against RC's in the actual release configuration, especially since assertions can introduce bugs on their own. Arguably however
