Ideal setup for PRI/T1 and TE110P
Hi all, I'm sure something similar has been discussed, but one can only wade through the archives for so long. I'm setting up a T1 and my telco has a bunch of questions it wants me to answer. I know much of the TE110p is configurable to do any of this, but I wanted to know if there is an optimal or preferred setup. Any help would be appreciated. Here is the quiz my telco is giving me:

AT&T PRI Install - What is outpulsed?
Hey All, AT&T is installing a PRI in a couple weeks and while I've been doing homework on PRI's for the last few weeks there's something I'm still confused about. After being asked how many digits I wanted them to send us (10) was how many digits will you outpulse to us, 4, 7 or 10? I asked her what that meant and all I got was the question repeated. Do any of you have

PRI questions
We are in the prossess of ordering a ISDN (PRI) line from Verizon. There are a couple of questions on the application that I don't understand. I'm still a newbie here but we're taking the big plunge. If someone could give me some direction here I would be greatly appreciative. The questions on their app that I don't understand are: 1.) The Verizon Co will outpulse 10

Blocked channels, according to our telco... leading to CONGESTION status
Greetings, Our telco called last week, saying that a lot of channels on our PRIs are blocked. And with blocked they have the following description in the Siemens exchanges: BBAC BLOCKED BACKWARD This status is set when the partner exchange has a blocking set and the signaling of the trunk (non-CCS7) is able to report this blocking in the backward direction. This status can

Multiple Netbios name queries on ports 32944, 33169 and 33171
I've had to set up an iptables filter to drop packets originating from ports 32944, 33169 and 33171 on a samba 3 server as broadcast 'storms' lasting ~3seconds have intermittently been taking down all net communication. Can anyone shed any light on this? The packet capured in ethereal is below. Lee Baker Sorry for not trimming - not sure what's important: No. Time

NetBIOS wildcard queries repeated by wireless access points
I am trying to resolve a problem with NetBIOS wildcard broadcast queries being relayed/repeated by around 50 US Robotics wireless access points. The APs only re-broadcast wildcard queries from our samba3 server - our numerous windows 2003 servers do not appear to use wildcard broadcast queries (if they do, they are not causing the same problems). Any help would be appreciate as this problem is

TE410P card in an HP-Compaq DL380 G4 server
Hi, Has anyone had success using a TE410P card in an HP-Compaq DL380 G4 server? For me the card is detected fine, but the system just never sees an interrupt from the card. I've tried everything I can think of. The card definitely works. Its Fedora Core, but we also tried a stock 2.6.10 kernel. We tried with and without Hyperthreading, with "noapic", we disabled all the

Anyone else tried Speex 1.1 CVS?
I built the CVS version of the Speex library - v1.2 it calls itself. Asterisk seg faults trying to use codec_speex.so. I'll have a look to try to fix it, but thought I'd just ask if anyone else knows what needs to be done? Steve

Beware: Samba is a hoax
I can only conclude that Samba is an elaborate hoax and here's why. 1) Setup is more complex than Sendmail (it set the standard for complexity) 2) Even the simplest smb.conf causes trouble 3) You can pass ALL the tests in the DIAGNOSIS procedure, AND Samba will still not let you SHARE FILES or SHARE PRINTERS between Windows and Unix but you WILL be able to BROWSE YOUR SHARES (Just pretend
