I'm currently running tinc-pre6 on 2 nodes in a larger network.
My Laptop (Lassulus), lan ip: 192.168.2.100, tinc-ip: 10.243.0.2
My Server (alphalabs), lan ip: 192.168.2.103, tinc-ip: 10.243.1.10

Okay, what gives? find_by_id is failing.
This has the look of a "just don''t quite get it yet" problem. I am
using the ActiveRecord.find_by_id method to identify the parent object
(Quiz) to tie to the child object (Question) at create time.
Here is the stdout log:

smbd keeps maxing out the cpu, must reboot server constantly
This is running in vmware, and I noticed occasionally wmware reports
that the cpu is being maxed out by a virtual machine. Logging into the
virtual machine and running top confirms that the smbd process is maxing
out the cpu. If I leave it alone for a while, eventually it starts
dropping connections and not letting people into the file server.
Killing the process with kill -9 does no good, it

C5 : Deleting un-deletable files ?
During a routine trawl through the ext3 files, I found some astronomical file sizes, billions and billions of GB.
They also has strange user and group names.
I can not delete these "weird files" (the term used by the operating system utilities).
Here are a few examples. The original files were created on Windoze 98 version 2 circa 2001.

Repost: Why is rails generating bad SQL?
It looks like I am missing something obvious. ActiveRecord is
generating _really_ bad SQL for this configuration, and I can''t quite
figure it out.
I''ve instrumented ActiveRecord enough to localize the problem somewhat,
and generally by this time I would have a good idea of what I was
missing because it''s all in the source.
It appears that something in

Meaning of "smbstatus" display
Hello.
I'm wondering about what smbstatus of Samba 3.0.2a display. When I run
"smbstatus --processes", I see that some "entries" from the lower
"services" list are not present in the upper part of the list.
Why is that so?
Let me give an example. In the smbstatus list below, I'm concerned about
these entries:

Slow network
Hi,
I have problem with a Centos 5.3 computer. The networking is very
slow. The networking card is a RealTek 1GigE.
I plugged an Ubuntu laptop on the same cable and port with an Intel
GigE, and it's about 8 to 10 times faster. So the problem is likely to
be with the CentOS config.
Any suggestion on how to track down the problem with speed.
I have checked the packets with wireshark, no

SIP phone behind NAT
Hi all,
--------
I have a Asterisk at a public Network (official IP address). In the local
network I have isntalled a Snom 200 IP phone and in my home network (behind
NAT) a Snom 100 device. I can dial the Snom200 device from my home location
without any problems but the Snom200 can not dial me. It always gets a "we do
not rely". I tried to forward the SIP Port (5060) UDP via UPnP
