I've got a nagios plugin making sure the * box is up, but I would like to do more than that. I need to make sure the PRIs connected to my box stay up and I need to make sure calls are not failing for any reason. Are there any * monitoring packages like this? -Daniel

I found an article, but not for this controller, that suggests to power off the system, pull one of the drives, boot the OS and power off again. Would this be the way to go? In order to bill some of my customers I am trying to convince * to write a full set of cdrs. I found that * does not log cdrs outgoing calls on a zap pri channel when incoming and outgoing calls share the same span. Same problem here: if call come over ISDN PRI and it is for a SIP phone that equals to strong echo situation, at the SIP end. Hi, Does Asterisk have builtin (T1 or E1) span monitoring? If a span goes down, will asterisk know about it.
