* Call Monitoring
I've got a nagios plugin making sure the * box is up, but I would like to do more than that. I need to make sure the PRIs connected to my box stay up and I need to make sure calls are not failing for any reason. Are there any * monitoring packages like this? -Daniel

OT: Tool for monitoring traffic IP reception
Hi all, I am searching some lightweight tool to control when rsyslog didn't receive events from a specific host or group of hosts for x minutes/seconds. Only a simple tool to send an email when an alert is triggered, I don't need flat tools like zabbix or similars. Does anyone know any?

[OT] What is the best network monitoring tool?
Hi all, Currently I have a big question. What is the best OPEN SOURCE solution for monitoring multiple Host and Services, for example for using in a WebHosting Provider with 50 hosts or more. Currently, I'm using NAGIOS for more than 3 years, this is a incredible tool, but before upgrade to version 3, I have this existential question. Please fill free to recommend any soft, but with this

OT: Testing and monitoring hardware RAID
Hello everyone, I was hoping to get recommendations on the proper way to test a RAID 1 hardware configuration. The controller is an Adaptec 2200S. I found an article, but not for this controller, that suggests to power off the system, pull one of the drives, boot the OS and power off again. Would this be the way to go? Also any suggestions on what to use to monitor it as well?

CDRs and zap channels
In order to bill some of my customers I am trying to convince * to write a full set of cdrs. I found that * does not log cdrs outgoing calls on a zap pri channel when incoming and outgoing calls share the same span. So far I tried to play around with the 'C' option for the dial application and tried to set overlapdialing to 'no'. Interesting enough calls coming in on IAX2 or SIP

OT?: International number parsing
Can anyone shed some light on "rules" that might make the task of parsing the country code and city codes from a dialed number in the CDRs? I know that there is almost never a case where a concatenated country and city code could overlap with another country code, but what about city codes and local numbers? Is it possible for a concatenated city code and local number to match another

Simple CDRs w/Asterisk/OpenSER.
Suggestions on how to use Asterisk to collect CDRs from a OpenSER-based proxy / call routing setup? I need to get simple CDRs; not for detailed settlement/rating, but just for reconciliation with an ultimate TDM carrier just to make sure we only get billed for what we're actually using. I'd use the often-heralded approach of dumping a call from OpenSER into Asterisk and having it

Re: Incoming echo cancel
Same problem here: if call come over ISDN PRI and it is for a SIP phone that equals to strong echo situation, at the SIP end. Interestingly this doesn't happen on all calls but it does on 95% of them. Asterisk load at that moment is insignificant - 1 to 2 calls. I have tried with all possible echo cancellers in zconfig.h, with and without MMX, and with and without CFLAGS+=-march=i686 in

Span monitoring
Hi, Does Asterisk have builtin (T1 or E1) span monitoring? If a span goes down, will asterisk know about it. Personally, I would like to have a event generated through the Manager API interface. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
