Calling Number Verification Number? for BellSouth/AT&T
BellSouth (now AT&T) has a number you can dial and it will play back
voice prompts with your calling number? It's used by their techs with a
buttset in identifying analog 1FB lines...

Eg Dial 704-210-3233, it answers
"Seven-Zero-Four-Five-Five-Nine-Two-One-Two-Two" if your dialing from

CallerID hosed
This is with an x100p (the motorola chipset)
Two problems.
Looks like CALLERIDNAME is being used uninitialized.
On my other phones the callerid is fine and my buttset shows that the
callerid passes the checksum.

Weird issues with TDM400P
We have a TDM400P installed here with four FXS modules. It works well
except for a couple of issues:
First, I have a Panasonic KX-TG2431 telephone (so others can reach me
when I am in o ther parts of the building) hooked up to one of the FXS
ports. When the other end hangs up, I get the usual CPC disconnect
signal. After the CPC, sometimes it will go to a dialtone, and other

Voicemail to a commercial PBX/key phone system
Hello.
I've seen some mentions of asterisk possibly being used as an inexpensive
voicemail attachment to a commercial PBX etc.
Does anyone here, have experience of using it in this fashion ?
What commercial systems have been successfully attached too ?
How is the attachment made ?
Analog, digital ?
If anyone has successfully accomplished this, I would like to hear the make

Help 60Hz Hum?
Hey guys,

I am trying to diagnose a hum in my FXO lines
I am using an Adtran 750 with 8 FXO ports. I am getting a pretty bad hum
on the line during a call.
I have checked the Telco side of the 66 block and there is no hum there
so it's my problem to fix.
I have tried to lower the gain but that reduces the call volume to much.
Where else should I be looking?

Dialing off-hook with Polycom SoundPoint IP 430
Hi...

I've been fighting this for a while now, trying clean builds of Asterisk
1.14.18, 1.14.19rc3, and then 1.6 Beta 6 today.

No workee. :-(

Here's the results for various calls made off-hook (push the blue
Speakerphone button on the Polycom 430):

988852700 - Phone waits for me to either hit the soft-key "Send" or
"EndCall". If I hit "Send",

command? Like in a modem Dial string? I'm having issues with the FXO

does R provides a wait or pause function?
Hello,
I'd like to insert a "wait" function in my code.
The reason is that I output timestamped files and I want to ensure that at least 1 second separes 2 files to avoid overwriting the previous file.
Thanks,

Best Asterisk Platform
I don't think the original poster was asking about which OS is best. I think
he was asking which PBX manager people are using. Ex, PBX in a Flash,
Elastix, FreePBX, blah, blah, blah.
Thanks;
John

Make/Break ratio for Pulse Dialing
Thanks for your suggestion. I have compiled according to

dialing at 10 pps works fine with Asterisk with the newly compiled
wctdm. but when I dial at 20 pps, the pulses cannot be decoded
correctly.
I tried changing the make/break ratio but dialing at 20 pps still has
the decoding problem.

The mailing list will not receive emails from the forums. What I was

Hi,
I am trying to do the world's most simple install.
I have a Wildcard TDM400P with 3 ports: 1 FXS on port
1 and 2 FXOs on ports 3 and 4. (i'm not using port 3

CentOS AMI's published to AWS
Greetings! Can someone please explain the process for publishing CentOS 7
AMI's to AWS?
I see the "official" CentOS marketplace page here:
https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/B00O7WM7QW
However, if I select us-west-2 and launch based on the current AMI that was
released on 2/26/2016, I see that it is CentOS 7.2.1511 at boot up.
Do new AMI's get published on a particular
