RE: Hardware dimensioning issues To: <juanmoyano@southecon.com.ar>
Juan, I am running a Calling Card application on a Dell PowerEdge 2850 with Asterisk 1.0.7. Recording conversations I have seen on my server causes the processors to burn more than necessary so I would recommend what William from Signate recommended: " Consider saving recorded calls in a database on a separate server. It will be simpler to build a retrieval interface that does not

Is command line Rails also so slow on Linuxes as it is on Windows?
There is a lot of questions on Stackoverflow about how Rails is slow in command line on Windows machines. I use Windows and know that it is true. All Rake tasks, all rails commands are very slow. Especially testing is slow. I can''t test my code as I want because of it. But some people in their answers say that command line Rails is slow only on Windows. On Linuxes it is ok. But before I

getaddrinfo: nodename nor servname provided, or not known
Hi there, If I want to create email within my application (in production), how is this best achieved?? Following the railsspace tutorial, it only really suggests to use :smtp. I''d read on another site that to generate emails locally, i need to use :sendmail instead... However - I havent seen any decent examples of how to get this configured to be able to send emails within my local

No MOH on SIP hold nor on park
Hi, when I put a call on hold from my Nokia E51 (SIP client), the other side does NOT hear music on hold although sip debug / wireshark shows that the E51 tells the asterisk that it now holds the call. Canreinvite is set to "no". Also, when parking a call (features.conf), the parked caller does not hear music on hold. In queues, when using "#" and when using the hold

2.6.16 nor FC5 -xenU kernel will start under 3.0-testing
I tried building a 2.6.16 kernel from -unstable and also the -xenU kernel provided by FC5 and both will not run under 3.0-testing (changeset 8761:484a14acfc26). The 2.6.16 kernel will start and die with nothing of value in xend.log or xend-debug.log. If I run "xm create name -c" it will say it can''t open "/dev/pts/XX" and that is all the information I can

Serial ports not available to apps nor in regedit
I've already read through bug 11811 (http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11811) so I know a patch was offered about two years ago for Wine automatically recognizing the com* symlinks in ~/.wine/dosdevices. Is there any hope that this will be functional soon? I am trying a utility that needs to access the serial ports but there are none shown available in its ports dialog. I do have

[LLVMdev] DSNodes for main() neither complete nor global?
Hi, I'm noticing that there are some DSNodes in main() that are neither complete nor global. Specifically, a heap DSNode that is used but not free()d in main() is not marked complete. This is not the only case I'm noticing, but it's the only case I'm noticing for nodes that are actually used by instructions in the function. Is this expected behavior? If so, is there an
