Asterisk Cepstral TTS
Can someone point me to a page about writing a text file to call an
external number and play a TTS with cepstral? I know it includes the
creation of a .call file but beyond that im a bit lost.

How to use * and # as part of number in dial command
Hi all,
I am struggling with the following and I can't get it work:
In the Netherlands where I live it is possible to use special codes
(aka vertical service codes) to set special 'behaviour' of phonecalls.
So e.g. when I want to dial out with a normal phone and I dial
*31*<phonenumber to dial> then it will turn off my numberindication
(CID) at the called party. They seem to

Good script to make appointment?
Hello
I'd like to write a script that would make it easier for people to
call in, listen to the IVR, and make an appointment (eg. "When? ASAP?
A given day?" -> "Morning? Afternon", etc.)
I assume I'm not the first one to try and write this type of IVR, so
would appreciate any feedback on writing this.
Thank you.

How to let ZAPHFC work with and act on different incoming MSNs?
Hi all,
I'm struggling some time now with this problem. Googling and searching
on this topic did not deliver the answer yet, so my last hope is this
list.
Analogue to the things which are possible with modem.conf, where I can
configure the MSN's to act on, I would like to have similar
functionality.
This is the idea:
I have 1 ISDN line, it can be reached by 4 different MSN's.
I have

please help - complicated polymorphic association
I am trying to build a shared-appointment system, where users can
subscribe to appointments and be updated whenever changes are made to
them. I have three objects in this system, appointments, users, and
subscribers. Subscribers are a polymorphic object like so:
class Subscriber < ActiveRecord::Base
belongs_to :user
belongs_to :subscribable, :polymorphic => true
end
The tricky part is

initiate call recording from phone.
I am looking for a way to allow a user to record a call simply by
pressing a button or some combination of buttons on their phone. Is
this possible?
I have read the stuff about the monitor command; however, this doesn't
seem to be very interactive for the user.
Thanks,
Andy

Cepstral voices
Was hoping someone could point me in the right direction for getting
the linux version of cepstral voices working with Asterisk. The
cepstral site states that the voices work with asterisk, but I haven't
been able to find anything with google or in the handbook on this.
Thanks in advance, Bruce

Redirect Post for Hiding ID?
I have a situation where I want to show the user details about an
appointment they entered. They enter their name, phone number(s) and
other private data in a form. I save that data in the controller with
a POST from a "confirmation" page.
I could simply show the params when that page is rendered (the save
one), but if they use the browser refresh it''ll save the data again.

Will pay for asterisk help...
Hello Guys...
I'm looking for someone to help me out with an Asterisk@home installation...
I've managed to get it working to the point that extensions can talk to each
other, but not incoming calls or outgoing calls...
I need to get it configured with Broadvoice...
I'm willing to pay someone to help me do this...
Contact me at jr@kahari.com if you're interested.
Thanks

TTS engine query
Not being very happy with festival I would like ro get a better TTS
engine. I looked at the listings at:
http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Asterisk+sound+files+international
but I would like to get user input on suggested packages for Linux. Best
performance vs. cost ????

mISDN + chan_misdn.so + winbond issue
Hi all,
Does anybody of you have the winbond w6692 working with the
mISDN/chan_misdn.so?
When loading chan_misdn.so from Asterisk, I get a "No lower Id port:1"
error. The /var/log/messages file says: "MISDN free_device: entitylist
not empty"
I'm using Linux 2.6.11.11 + mISDN-CVS-2005-05-01 + Asterisk 1.0.7 + Zaptel 1.0.7

(OT) Where to post free source for AGI?
Hey all,
After figuring out a problem with AGI and freepascal, I have finished
writing a small Cepstral (http://www.cepstral.com) AGI app. I wrote a
small readme for it at http://www.datatrakpos.com/misc/dial/readme.txt.
I'd like to give it to the community (source/binary) and was wondering
where to post it?
The wiki?
Also, anyone have suggestion on licensing? LGPL? FreeBSD?
Thanks

Silent Attendant
I'd like to set up a "silent attendant". By this I mean when someone
calls me I'd like for them to hear the comfort ringing tones, but for
the first 5 seconds I'd like to give them the option of pressing 9 to
send the call to an alternate extension; if they don't press 9, the
call goes to a default extension.
For most callers I just want standard PSTN behaviour, only a

blindxfer & atxfer not working?
I'm wondering whether there's a problem with the blindxfer and atxfer commands.
I was using Asterisk STABLE and pressing the # key to transfer calls
worked fine, except of course when you called up FedEx and they asked
"Enter the number of packages, followed by the Pound key".
I found on the wiki
