Hi all, I'm trying to enable faxes on my asterisk box using spandsp version pre10. The outgoing and incomiong calls work great, but i have problem with faxes. The fax detection works, the RxFax application is called, but i only receive the beginning of the faxes (variable between 3 to 5 first inches of the fax). Anybody sucessfully got stable 1000Hz clock without Digium harware and kernel 2.6? We need to consult some peoples how to clock asterisk stable with exactly 1000 Hz without much kernel/drives patching/tweaking. I changed from a TE410P to a TE411P and fax carriers weren't detected anymore ! I have tried everything (recompile zaptel+asterisk+spandsp ; echocancel=yes/no ; rxgain=0/txgain=0 ; increase Wait() ; ...), nothing worked. The only solution that worked for me was to install and use NVFaxDetect. HTH.

Hi, package tiff-v3.5.7 contains the currently recommended version of libtiff in order to run spandsp (fax support for asterisk). Imho tiff-v3.5.7 is not very easy to find in the internet, and maybe will almost disappear, because it is an "old" version, I put it on our little asterisk download page. Maybe it'll help someone. I've searched the list and could not find any solutions even though this question has been brought up. I'm not able to fax out multiple pages of tiff, where only the first page is received but not the other pages at the receivers end. I have no problem with receiving multi pages at my side.
