What headsets have people found work well with the Cisco 7940 and 7960 phones? To date, I have tried a couple of the headsets within the Plantronics H series (H41-N), and noticed that the volume of my speaking is lower over the headset than on the regular handset. I have a system that is using Intel HDA as its output, and a Plantronics USB headset as the microphone input. I would like to have my wine configuration emulate this setup, I currently have been unable to confirm that it isnt... I just cant get Steam to choose the plantronics headset as the default voice device (this is the goal). Would appreciate any insight!

Tom - here are a few suggestions Plantronics 510SL Bluetooth - they make a bundle that comes with a Bluetooth transceiver and a handset lifter. All switches and routers give highest priority to traffic on IAX2 port 4569. We use DSCB values over the IP-VPN to prioritize it as well. This did not change with the upgrade, as we can still see proper packet coding. The softphone is provided by our vendor Aheeva. It is the same IAX2 softphone they use in their own call centers. Funny thing is that they say that moving to Asterisk 1.2.4

I have been looking for analog phones for my * system that work with our plantronic amplifiers and headsets. The problem I am having with the Aastra phones that I have purchased (PT-390, 9116, 9120, 8009 ), is that they don't seem to stay hung up unless you physically hang up the handset everytime you finish a call.
