subscriber state before dial
Hi All
After a Dial() I get:

channel of type 'SIP' (cause 20 - Subscriber absent)
if the subscriber is not registered.
Is there a way from dialplan to know, *before* Dial(), if a destination

cascaded ringing
Hi,
I intend to let several SIP-phones on my asterisk ring cascaded on
incoming calls.
First only phone 1 should ring, after 5 seconds phone 2 should ring in
addition and after additional 5 Seconds phone 3 should also ring.
How can I realize that correctly?
Currently I do use
Dial(SIP/1,5)
Dial(SIP/1&SIP/2,5)
Dial(SIP&1&SIP/2&SIP/3)
But this seems not to work correctly on

Dial app does not indicate ringing to calling party
I hope somebody has seen this before...
I'm trying to use a Dial command on a inbound call to ring multiple
destinations. The calls come in to me from the provider on IAX2, and one
of the destinations I try to ring is a IAX2 to call to my cell phone.
When I add the IAX2 destination into the Dial command, the setup I am trying
to achieve works (i.e. my Zap, SIP, and cell phone all ring) but

Polycom phone locks up, send sip busy messages
I have a soundpoint 501 phone that has locked up twice now. You can make
a call but when a call is sent to it, it responds with sip busy
messages. You get the same message when the phone is in do not disturb.
I reset to defaults the first time and it worked for a week or so and
then stopped. The incoming calls are ringing three phones (
dial(sip/1&sip/2&sip/3 ), often two of them are in do

Dialplan problem - incoming calls get MOH, not ringing.
Chaps,
I recently added an incoming VOIP account to my asterisk box. When the
PSTN number associated with this account is dialled, the call rings once
and then asterisk starts playing music on hold, even though all the
extensions continue to ring. Variations of answer() and ringing() don't
seem to help. I'm sure I'm missing something spectacularly obvious, but
the wiki and googling the

rsync to multiple destinations
I am looking for a way to start one rsync command with multiple destinations.
My use case:
I have one (slow) usb drive which should be synced to two other
harddrives. It would be great if rsync could read one file which is to
be copied to both hard drives only once, so the slow usb connection is
used more efficiently.
Any idea or is this a wishlist "bug"?
Thanks

LMTP : Can't handle mixed proxy/non-proxy destinations
Hello,
In my current setup, I uses two mailservers to handle the users
connections, and my emails are stored on a distant server using NFS
(maildir architecture)
Dovecot is both my IMAP server and the delivery agent (LMTP via postfix)
To avoid indexing issues related to NFS, proxying is enabled both on IMAP
and LMTP. But when a mail is sent to users that are shared between the
servers, I got the

Reproducible echo on IAX calls to -some- destinations.
I'm very, very confused. Dialing out, through VoicePulse, with both gsm
and ulaw CODECs, most of my calls are great. However, calling my
(non-Asterisk) voicemail at my job, and calling my cell phone both
produce horrendous (~ 1/3-second delay) echo. I've tried with different
phones (Polycom and Grandstream), different IAX CODECs (as described,
above), different network

multiple destinations in duration (survival) analysis
Hi,
I'm trying to estimate a (parametric) competing risks model in the context
of duration (or survival, if you wish) analysis. That is, instead of
studying the transition of subjects to "death", I wish to study the
transitions to multiple *destinations* (which is different from studying
multiple *durations*, or recurrent events). I am more interested in the
hazard function rather

print unreachable forwarding destinations?
When using LocalForward or DynamicForward sometimes the endpoint does no
longer exist but I need to find out *which* endpoint exactly. For example:
$ ssh -D 1234 server.example.net
On the client, maybe in another terminal:
$ curl --socks5-hostname localhost:1234 http://does-not-exist.local
curl: (97) connection to proxy closed
As expected. But on the server (OpenSSH 8.4), the following is

Using queue app with external members/destinations
Hi guys
I've got a need to do some call queueing, with the slightly unusual caveat
that the destination for the calls is not a phone or group of phones
connected to my local asterisk box, but an "external" PSTN number.
Can I setup a queue in asterisk and make the queue "member" an external
address like SIP/5551234@my.pstn.gateway?
There will be a smaller number of PSTN

Hi Timo,
I'm writing to alert you that even in version 2.1. we have the error: "Can't
handle mixed proxy/non-proxy destinations" when we write to two users: one
existent and one not.
The error occurs randomly.
I configure LDAP query in the file : dovecot-ldap.conf in this way:
pass_attrs = mail=user,userPassword=password,=proxy=y,mailHost=host,
=proxy_timeout=600

2 routes & 1 destinations
Hi,
At office, we have I ISPs.
I want to lightly monitor each link latency in order to decide several
routing.
For that, I have only one external server: 1 IP, it's an OVH dedicated
server.
The quick picture is http://s24.postimg.org/n3436z64l/defaul_route.png
Default route is via ISP1.
If OVH-server pings IP1:
- the request will go through ISP1: it's OK
- the reply will go through

Unexpected rsync behavior with --relative and symlink destinations
Hello, all. Sorry if this topic has been hashed out before -- I didn't
see it searching the archives of this list.
I want to mirror a local system's /apps and /usr/local directories (both
are real directories, not symlinks) to a remote system where /apps and
/usr/local are symlinks to /local/apps and /local/usrlocal,
respectively. The target directories exist on the remote system.

auto dial out multiple destinations
Hi,
I am searching for the most effective solution for the
following scenario:
Our users can call into our IVR menu and dial a
specific extension and immediately hang up. This event
should simply trigger Asterisk to make multiple
simultaneous calls through a group of zap channels
(5-10 calls). When the called parties answer, Asterisk
should simply play a message and hangup.
So I was thinking

That is where the difficulty comes in. Netfilter would need to be able to
