The Asterisk bug tracker :: please think twice before opening a report!
Friends,
At this point, we're close to 300 issues open in the bug tracker
at http://bugs.digium.com
Some of us spend many hours each week,
if not each day, to work with the bug tracker. It's a tool for us, a
very important tool to handle new features
and find bugs in Asterisk, tracking them down.
It is important that you consider a few things while using this tool:

RE: Asterisk-Users digest, Vol 1 #3387 - 9 msgs
How do you setup the timing in Meetme conference? I have a x100p and tdm4x card.
When I dialing to my conference I get a request to schedule in the past error message.
thanks

*** Asterisk Summer News: Forget numbers, dial by domain!
Welcome to a new issue of Asterisk Summer News!
The holiday season is coming to an end here in Sweden, people are
getting back to work and the kids will start going to school next week.
Life is slowly adopting to normal and I have to start dressing more
towards a businessman than a beach bum. Guess I have to start going
to the gym again as well. Anyway, back to the topic. Asterisk and

Important :: Please support the development of a new Jitterbuffer for SIP
Steve Kann has developed a new jitterbuffer for IAX2, that hopefully
will be integrated into Asterisk v1.1 soon, to be part of the 1.2 stable
relase.
Zoa and his bulgarian team is porting this buffer to SIP/RTP, but needs
support in the form of funding in order to take the time to test this
out and complete it in time.

Hello,
I'm running a samba 3.0.14a server in production on a fedora core 3 (kernel
2.6.9-1.667smp) with a least 250 clients (XP Pro SP2) (up to 400 sometimes).
A few days ago, a problem appeared with a soft that we are using for a long
time. (Petit Robert, a french dictionnary).
When someone launch the dictionnary, many clients are freezed when they try to

Issues that could benefit from a bounty reward?
Hey all,
I’m the founder of Bountysource.com. We ran a newsletter contest a few
weeks ago where we asked our users to pick their 3 favorite Open Source
projects. The winning projects would get bounties placed on a few top
issues, and Ruby on Rails came in first place, earning a $300 bounty reward!
So, my question to you guys... Where should the money go? If you reply with
an issue you really

After spending a lot of time saying numbers and dates, the Asterisk I18N project now targets
voicemail. The voicemail prompts are very much based on english language syntax, which works
for some languages and doesn't work for a lot of languages.

Projects for new developers
Hi,
A few people have asked about work they can do on OpenSSH that stands
the chance of winning them a bug bounty from Google''s program to reward
open source security[1].
Some big things that we are missing relate to our test suite. Right now
we don''t have any automated way to run valgrind or AddressSanitizer and
get good coverage. Some of the developers do this manually, and

Breaking news, but what happened? 11.000 channels on one server
Hello Asterisk users around the world!
Recently, I have been working with pretty large Asterisk
installations. 300 servers running Asterisk and Kamailio (OpenSER).
Replacing large Nortel systems with just a few tiny boxes and other
interesting solutions. Testing has been a large part of these
projects. How much can we put into one Asterisk box? Calls per euro
invested matters.
So far,

SMDI Bounty - where?
I am the one that placed the bounty. After it being there for 2 months
and getting no takers (and very few if any people asking about it), we
are almost finished writing it in house. I'll keep the bounty up untill
we do finish our product so if anyone beats us to getting it working
they'll get paid...

*** Important *** About the bug tracker
During the last week, we have had several support issues being reported
as bugs on the bug tracker. Since we are going into a final development
stage on version 1.1dev (CVS HEAD) in order to complete the 1.2 release
we are under pressure to fix bugs and handle a lot of reports in a short
time frame.
Neither the bug tracker or the asterisk-dev mailing list is second-line
support, they're

Hi,
I'm experiencing an odd situation on my samba (3.0.9) server (RH 7.3).
maybe it is normal, but I prefer to ask...
Some smbd processes are not owned by the corresponding user, but by root

Bounty- CDR Bug Fix
I saw some of the heat about the $20 bounty earlier. So I don't want to
put a low bounty out.
Quote me a bounty, and I'll see if I can get it approved by management. :-)
I'm in need of getting this bug fixed. Bug has all of the details, but
basically 1.4.22 broke it all.
I've waited as long as I can - hoping the bug would 'resolve itself' -
but now I'm putting a

Upgrade to Asterisk 1.4 - it's one year's old!
Friends in the Asterisk community,
I'm kind of interested in the slow uptake of Asterisk 1.4. Between 1.2
and 1.4 there's been a lot of
important development. New code cleanups, optimization, new functions.
I realize that 1.4 at release time wasn't ready for release, but we've
spent one year polishing it,
working hard with bug fixes. The 1.4 that is in distribution now is

request for clarification on Asterisk T.38 bounty
The bounty stands at $5,500. I'm seriously considering taking a shot
at it if I can find a decent T.38 provider to test with (I'm still
hoping for reliable PAYG T.38).
It looks like a lot of very smart people have done a lot of very hard
work (t38modem, spandsp) that would go towards getting this working.
At this point it appears to be mostly a matter of integration
