Voicetronix OpenLine4 -- Help Needed
Hi. I need help with my brand new Voicetronix OpenLine4 board that I installed into Asterisk. After building the Linux device driver and inserting the module, I modified the /usr/src/asterisk/channels/chan_vpb.c file to uncomment the US settings and comment out the Austrailian ones. I made the appropriate entries for routing in vpb.conf and extensions.conf.... All appears to be well, except

Newbie Setting up Voicetronix OpenLine4
Is anyone using the VoiceTronic Openline4 PCI (fxo) card? I am trying to setup Asterisk using a Digium 40B (4 port fxs) and an OpenLine4 (4 port fxo), however I can't find any examples or post that utilize this card. I have my stations (Sayson 390) ringing each other, but haven't had any success ringing out. I have the OpenLine4 loaded and all of the new drivers working good, just

Openline4 and asterisk@home
Hi all, Can somebody help me get my OpenLine4 card running with asterisk@home? I've got my VPB drivers configured, but can't figure out how to map trunks and channels the typical way in the AMP config interface for Asterisk@home. Apparently I'm supposed to use /vpb/1 type commands, but I'm not sure how it should work. I'm relatively new to asterisk, I did a bunch of

Asterisk with Voicetronix OpenLine4 card
hi there, i've been able to successfully run asterisk with the Voicetronix OpenLine4 card, it can accept calls and function normally. The only problem I'm experiencing so far is getting the card to outdial to a third party. What I'm trying to achieve is basically call bridging, where the caller dials in to asterisk, some IVR plays and then attempts to perform a "transfer"

Using asterisk with vpb driver (OpenLine4)
Hello, list, I am using Asterisk with an OpenLine4 card. It worked well with Asterisk 1.0. Then I upgraded the system, Asterisk 1.4 had some problem to compile chan_vpb, but I managed to compile it manually. Still Asterisk does not work because it refused to load chan_vpb module. I had to revert back to install Asterisk 1.2. Then I get a error: asterisk: hip.cpp:793:

Voicetronix OpenLine4 immediately hangs up on every call
Hi we've got Asterisk CVS-HEAD 18-Aug-04 (modified by Voicetronix as available on their site for use with the vpb driver) and an OpenLine4 (4xFXO). The same server also has two X100P. Calls on the Voicetronix card drop instantly when the called party picks up. The vpb driver reports that it detected a hangup (loop drop) yet there is no hangup when connecting the X100Ps or analog phones to

Voicetronix V4PCI
Hi all, I think I've got the V4PCI card working with asterisk (can't tell for sure, can't dial out since the card doesn't appear to understand 2 or 3 dtmf codes, if you've seen that before, let me know). Has anyone else had problems/successes with those cards before though? Thanks, Andrew Griffiths

Has_one and Class Table Inheritance
Hello, is there something wrong with using has_one to implement Class Table Inheritance ? Eg. class Person < ActiveRecord::Base # attributes : eg. name, string end class Contact < Person # attributes : has_one :Person belongs_to :Company end Of course for a such simple case I could use Single Table Inheritance but this is only an example and I don''t like too much the

Voicetronix Openswitch/6
Hello all - I'm trying to get Asterisk working with an Openswitch/6 card with all ports set to FXO for PSTN in/out, and 10 SIP phones on the LAN with the Asterisk server. The SIP phones are working properly to dial one another, but I can't seem to get a call to go out to the PSTN through the voicetronix, and I similarly can't get incoming calls to the lines hooked up to the

Re : float and double precision with C code
thank you for your quick answer, I'm far of the digits capacity and my values are not the result of a computation. I'm developping a R package to acces a specific data source. And I need precision a few better. How can I do ? When I try this In R console, this is correct and what I need : > my_value <- 29.958334 > my_value == 29.958334 [1] TRUE But I need to do the first

Creating a factor from a combination of vectors
Dear list, Here's a little problem I already solved with my own coding style, but I feel there is a more efficient and cleaner way to write it, but had no success finding the "clever" solution. I want to produce a factor from a subset of the combination of two vectors. I have the vectors a et b in a data-frame : > df <- expand.grid(a=c(0, 5, 10, 25, 50), b=c(0, 25, 50,

Asterisk 1.4 does not load chan_vpb.so
Hello all, We had an experimental system which works on OpenLine4 telephony card and Asterisk 1.0.9. Customer asked to upgrade Asterisk to 1.4, then we found our problem: At first Asterisk 1.4 does not compile chan_vpb.so. The problem is it tries to compile chan_vpb.cpp to chan_vpb.o and chan_vpb.oo, then try to link them together. I manually compiled it, then make went smoothly. But it

Voicetronix OpenSwitch12 chan_vpb problem
Hello all, I hope this is not off-topic, if it is please let me know. I'm currently playing with an Asterisk at home, in order to get to know it's ins and outs. Very very impressive indeed. I've got it hooked up to my home phone line via a Wildcard clone board (Intel modem with Ambient chipset), and it works like a charm. Zaptel picks up the card as a generic clone, and works with it
