Hello, I would like to migrate my user-accounts from a Samba 2 to a Samba 3 setup. Old Setup: Samba 2 with PAM support. PAM uses LDAP to store PosixAccounts New Setup: Samba 3 with "native" LDAP. Hi I am an absolute beginner and have just loaded SuSE v8 onto a new computer I have made sure that I chose Samba and samba-client amongst the software when I loaded up. Now, wanting to access swat, type http://localhost:901/ into my browser and get an error message. It seems that localhost:901 can't be found. Can anyone suggest what I may be doing wrong could be? I give up. I had this working and now it isn't and I don't know why. I was able to sync unix password using smbpasswd but now it won't work. When I run smbpasswd it changes the samba password but acts like it doesn't even see the parameters in the smb.conf to change the unix password.
