[PATCH] Janitor duties
This patch removes a lot of #include from files in openbsd-compat/ since "includes.h" is included prior to the others and therefore includes the headers first. Is it OK, or is it a design decision to have the includes specific to the c-files in the c-files as well? There is also the correction of an error. In openbsd-compat/readpassphrase.c there was #ifndef HAVE_READPASSPHRASE

issue with ivtv & wctdm zaptel drivers (TDM PCI Master abort)
Hi, I'm experiencing an issue with my x86_64 machine containing a Hauppauge PVR-500 (ivtv) and a Digium TDM400p (wctdm, part of zaptel) PCI cards. Independently of each other both cards work fine, but once the wctdm driver is loaded and mythtv tries to record something on the PVR-500 the wctdm driver freaks out. The error message is see is "TDM PCI Master abort" printed over and

Module nonsense (zaptel, wcfxs and wxfxo)
Hello! I've been playing with two pieces of hardware: a X100P and a TDM400P with an FXO and two FXS modules. I had been using just the TDM card; however, the TDM FXO module seems to hear things and "answer" the telephone for no reason, and I wanted to compare the results with an X100P card. If you want further details, I can give them to you, but suffice it to say that

[Zaptel] Checking that TDM card works?
Hello Since TDM cards are known for being particular when it comes to motherboards (PCI 2.2, etc.), I was wondering if there is a utility that can check that the Zaptel driver works OK and can tell if the TDM card is compatible? That way, if an FXO module is not reporting an incoming call, we'd know it's because of the Zaptel driver, and not something elsewhere. Are "dmesg",

spandsp, rxfax, TDM400/zaptel, missed frames, any help?
Sorry in advance if this is a FAQ... I've got a working Asterisk setup based on A@H 2.2. I have a TDM400 card with 2 FXS and 2 FXO ports; PSTN connections come in via the TDM card. I haven't been able to get inbound fax with spandsp and rxfax to work. Occasionally an all-text fax will come in, though it's usually badly corrupted, but in most cases, it would appear that the call is

Zaptel FXO offhook when connected to PSTN
I installed Trixbox and a TDM400P with 2 FXO and 2 FXS ports and am having an annoying issue with the FXO ports. As soon as I plug either one into the phone line it's as though the line is disconnected i.e. get disconnected tone when trying to dial out, line is busy when dialling in. The CLI shows the following: trixbox1*CLI> zap show channel 4 Channel: 4 File Descriptor: 18 Span: 11*

Zaptel 'Under the Hood' Project
Hello, After poking and prodding at Asterisk and Zaptel for over a couple years now, I've dedicated some time to actually reading the code and trying to figure it out. It's been fascinating. With the driver source on one part of the screen and a pdf of "Linux Device Drivers" on another part I've aquainted myself with device driver programming and the interesting

zaptel fxotune.c tool
I noticed the following came into cvs head yesterday: > Update of /usr/cvsroot/zaptel > In directory mongoose.digium.com:/tmp/cvs-serv2118 > > Modified Files: > fxotune.c wctdm.c wctdm.h > Log Message: > More TDM card echo API modifications. Making the fxotune program automatically > find the correct coefficients for the module. Lots of neat stuff. I did a complete

Zaptel timer on Intel Dual Core servers
Friends, I'm having severe problems with zaptel timers on Intel Dual Core systems with SMP code enabled. Ztdummy, zaptel connected to Digium TDM or PRI cards - all ends up with large timer probems - zttest going down to 50% accuracy on some systems, even to -1 on ztdummy systems and voice quality is no more. A restart is the only way to get back to a working system. We're only

Newer version of Zaptel with 1.0 branch of *
Is it possible to run the CVS-HEAD/Stable version of Zaptel (1.2 whatever) with an older version of Asterisk? I'm running 1.09, but I was wondering if I could get at the newer echo cancellers like KB1 and MG2 without upgrading to Asterisk 1.2? I'm going out on a limb here to try and fix a serious echo problem on a TDM + BT PSTN line in the UK Thanks for your suggestions everyone --

Someone please explain FXO/FXS module/channel relationships in Zaptel configuration to me
Please explain the relationship between modules from the driver (wctdm), the /etc/zaptel.conf file and zapata.conf. Specifically, if I have a FXS module 0 and FXO module 1, what should be used in zaptel.conf and what should be used in zapata.conf? Then finally, in extensions.conf, what is the Zap channel for dialing out? Zap/? % dmesg Module 0: Installed -- AUTO FXS/DPO Module 1:

TDM31B and Zaptel: FXO port not recognized?
I have a brand-spanking new TDM31B (3 FXS, 1 FXO) and when I start wcfxs (the only module that recognizes the card) from Zaptel 0.9.1 I get: Zapata Telephony Interface Registered on major 196 Freshmaker version: 63 Freshmaker passed register test Module 0: Installed -- AUTO FXS Module 1: Installed -- AUTO FXS Module 2: Installed -- AUTO FXS

Kudzu and Zaptel Cards
Redhat has a 'Hardware Discovery Utility' called Kudzu. When I change cards, kudzu pops up and ask to remove/config the card. Most of the time kudzu has trouble recognizing the Digium Zaptel cards and calls them something wrong, like calling the TDM card a network card. I'm having a devil of a time getting 3 TE410P cards to come up with all green lights. For example one or two cards

Using "#include" on zaptel.conf
Hi all. Is this possible to use an include parameter on zaptel.conf file? I mean, I want to have a bunch of files with zaptel configurations, each one with the configuration of one kind of board(TDM, analog, and so on). Thanks, Denis Galv?o

ZAPtel channel dance
Zaptel installs an /etc/modprobe.d/zaptel and an /etc/{defaults,sysconfig}/zaptel that list the modules in a different order, so If you happen to have a TDM2400P and a TDM[124]xxP, all channels change their numbers if you do a /etc/initd/zaptel restart. This is slightly confusing. (I'd file a bug if there were a bug tracking system that allowed users to submit bugs). Yours, Florian

Asterisk/Zaptel on Mac G5 or Xserve
I am considering a G5/XServe for a conferencing system. I need to put a TDM card in the machine for timing. Is anyone out there using Asterisk on Mac with zaptel drivers? I am looking at using Linux for the OS. If so what is your experience? Have a great day! Geoff
