Hello, I am looking at the Polycom phones. The ip600 has a very nice screen, is that the only real advantage over the ip500 and ip300.. Is it worth the extra dollars? Hello, I am just building my first Asterisk server. Looking for a couple of good quality ip phones. I like the Cisco 7960, are they easy to configure to work with Asterisk? Hello, I have configured my polycom ip600 and ip500. The phone works well. But the clock is wrong and flashes the whole time. Drives me nuts! I have set the time offset on the DHCP / boot server. 36000 (I'm in Australia!) It doesn't seem to help... Mike

I've had an IP300 for a while now and it's been working fine. I just got an IP500 and when it connects to the FTP server it downloads the new bootrom and says error loading. The bootrom is fine and works on the 300... In addition, I downloaded a new copy to be sure and it still doesn't work. Can anyone give me some advice?

Hi, I just got and setup a new ip500 yesterday and it worked for about 15 minutes. Then it froze during a reboot.Now, when power cycled, the logo comes on for 3 seconds and then the screen is blank and nothing further happens. 468* factory reset doesn't work. tuning for ulaw g.711 - Polycom IP500 I've got QoS ironed out at this point (dedicated section of bandwidth with VoIP having priority), yet ulaw is still unusable due to small 'holes' in the audio. Running iperf tests shows packet loss at very low percentages (< 0.02 %), and when we do drop, it's only 1 packet at a time. I thought ulaw was supposed to handle this OK.

Hi, Im having problems getting a polycom IP500 phone to register. Ive edited the xml files and appropriate .cfg files and it shows up registered with no ip address and if I go into the phones status menu and pick lines it says its not registered. If I tell it to upload the log file it doesn't say anything about why its not registering / what errors its getting. Any advice is appreciated.
