Unsolicited oplock breaks
Dear All, we've been having some intermittent problems with students who's home directories are on a Sun E450 running Samba 2.0.6. I'm not totally convinced that the problem is caused by the server, but may be the network. However, I've had a look at the log.smb file and I'm seeing some error messages that I've not come across before: [2001/02/23 18:20:40, 0]

2.0.7: unsolicited oplock break reply
I've used oplocks = no for a long time now, because of the famous "oplock_break" error, but I decided to give 2.0.7 a try. I still get "oplock break" errors as before, but this time I got a new error too: [2000/05/02 10:04:52, 0] smbd/oplock.c:oplock_break(976) oplock_break: receive_smb timed out after 30 seconds. oplock_break failed for file XXXXX/xxxxxx/mailbox.pst

Gratuitous/unsolicited ARP
hi. for domain migration, this is an obvious procedure in order to announce the relocation of the guest being bridged on a different host. i''ve been grepping around the xen build tree to see whether and where this is covered. haven''t found anything yet. is this covered by linux kernel bridging already, or is it just missing [read: left as a scripting exercise to

Receiving and processing unsolicited XMPP messages with Asterisk 11
I'm trying to set up a way that our users can send an XMPP message to Asterisk (unsolicited) to request information, such as voicemail status or the like. No matter what I set for the dialplan, I'm only seeing Asterisk execute the s,1 priority in the context defined in xmpp.conf for incoming messages, and then the "call" hangs up without executing further instructions. Anything

RFC 5465 (NOTIFY) violation: missing HIGHESTMODSEQ in initial STATUS responses
Quoting RFC 5465 (NOTIFY): ?If the NOTIFY command enables MessageNew, MessageExpunge, AnnotationChange, or FlagChange notifications for a mailbox other than the currently selected mailbox, and the client has specified the STATUS indicator parameter, then the server MUST send a STATUS response for that mailbox before NOTIFY's tagged OK. Race condition in IMAP NOTIFY for events received NOTIFY_DELAY_MSECS apart
Hi there, There seem to be a race condition in IMAP NOTIFY: when two events for the SELECTED mailbox are received soon after one another, sometimes only the first one is being reported to clients that enabled IMAP NOTIFY. On closer look it seems like this is most often reproducible when the delay between the two events is NOTIFY_DELAY_MSECS (500ms). This is with 2.3.4.1 from Debian sid. $

Restricting outgoing calls by extension / Multiple providers
The situation is that I want to have certain extensions that can only call nationwide and others that can make international calls (with a different provider). I suppose, you could also see this as a scenario that could involve multiple internal extensions that get matched to specific outbound trunks. I have tried to find appropriate commands in the Asterisk documentation, but could find nothing

colnames
Hi, I have a matrix with column names starting with a character in [0-9]. After some matrix operations (e.g. copy to another matrix), R seems to add a character 'X' in front of the column name. Is this a normal default behaviour of R? Why has it got this behaviour? Can it be changed? What would be the side effect? Thank you. Regards, Gilbert [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Asterisk 1.4.42 NOTIFY replies ignore NAT setting
Hi, I've been trying to fix NOTIFY replies (specifically keep-alives) in 1.4.42 (I can't upgrade to 1.8.x at the moment for various reasons). I've noticed for user agents that have a VIA header with a different port than the port the NOTIFY was sent from, the NOTIFY reply will always be sent back to that port, which is incorrect. (Sonicwalls and other routers love to do this, even

Oceanographic lattice plots?
R 1.8.0 on Windows XP Professional. A huge THANK YOU to the R Team for this marvelous software. I am making lattice plots of oceanographic data. The usual layout does not conform to plotting conventions that marine scientists use when depth is the independent variable. Under those conventions, plots are made with the origin at the upper left, depth on the vertical axis (increasing as it

relaying IceCast from ShoutCast
Hi; Has anyone successfully relayed an Icecast stream using Shoutcast? I realize that this is backwards! However, several organizations that want to use our streams use Shoutcast, I really don't want to setup shoutcast and Icecast, but unless I can relay an Icecast stream with Shoutcast, I'm going to have to. Thanks, Fred -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was

x axis problems
I have been searching for the R manual, unable to solve my problem. Questions 1) How can I put the x axis at the top of the plot? 2) I am plotting data from a CTD. I want to add series sal, obs and fluo at the same plot by using points(sal, deepth) ets. The data have different values so I want to use multiple x axis (4) with different scaling. How can I do that?

Randomly Dropping Audio / CTD
Now that 1.2 is out, will the issue of randomly dropping audio finally be addressed? Personally, I'm ignoring the stable series until this problem is identified and fixed. I understand that someone is working of revamping OpenAL support in WINE so when will users likely see the fruit of this revamp? This issue of randomly dropping audio with the application then CTD is extremely important.
