SetVar ALERT_INFO
Hello, I've got my dialplan configured to do a double ring when a customer service call comes in, and a normal ring when an extension is dialed directly. When a customer service call is transferred, I want to ring to revert back to normal. In the local extension macro, I have the following ; make sure ring is set to default exten => s,n,NoOp(${ALERT_INFO}) exten =>

Can't get Polycom auto-answer to work
Hi All - I'm trying to implement the auto-answer config from the wiki, but the result for me is that the phone just rings as normal. I'm running firmware version 1.4.1 on an IP500. I've added the following to my sip.cfg: <alertInfo voIpProt.SIP.alertInfo.2.value="Ring Answer" voIpProt.SIP.alertInfo.2.class="4"/> and this to my ipmid.cfg

dipura 2002 auto dial or intercom
Guys. Anybody using sipuras 2002 knows if there is a way to make the phones connected to it to autodial an extension when the phone is picked up? For example, if the phone is on a police booth (building entrance) and you want the guys to just pick up the phone and make the phone auto dial the receptionist extension without the guys having to dial anything (ala batphone). Is this possible with

alert_info + Linksys 9xx + custom ringtone
Hello, I have uploaded a custom ringtone to our SPA-922's for the purpose of sounding like a door bell chime when the doorbell is pressed. I am using __alert_info to set this ringtone. It appears that I can only set the ringtone via alert_info for the ringtones that come from Linksys. Has anyone else seen this issue? I am doing the following: exten => 100,1,SetVar(_ALERT_INFO=doorbell)

Auto dialing Polycoms and other SIP phones
Hi, Is there a reliable way to auto-dial SIP phones (specifically Polycom) with some sort of TAPI driver in Windows? I am aware of SIPTAPI, which makes the user's phone ring, and when picked up dials the desired number, but I (and more to the point, many of my customers) find this annoying. I'd like the phone to autodial on speakerphone (or headset if there is one), without any human

Working example of ALERT_INFO with Cisco ATAs?
I am wondering if there are any tricks getting the Cisco ATAs to do "distinctive rings" via the ALERT_INFO variable? I have seen some contradictory information in the Wiki, and I tried the example there. I then sniffed the connection between the server and the ATA and didn't see the header sent like it is "supposed" to be. If someone out there has a handle on this and

Uniden UIP200 phones
I am trying to get distinctive ringing going again with these phones, depending on the outside line the call comes in on. I had a working 1.0.x Asterisk setup using: SetVar(ALERT_INFO=<http://127.0.0.1/Bellcore-dr2>) Which used the short quick rings. In Asterisk 1.4, I have tried several things, but I think the correct syntax is: Set(_ALERT_INFO=<http://127.0.0.1/Bellcore-dr2>) But

Auto-pickup cisco phones
Is there anyway to force an autopickup on a cisco 7940 / 60 from the dialplan ? My problem is that I am originating a call from the AMI, with the internal user being called first, and then connecting to external user. However, sometimes the internal user doesn't pick up the phone, so the call is never placed. I need to know the results of the call so I need to be able to either a) get

ALERT_INFO issue CVS-HEAD-12/24/04
Anyone having any problems with CVS-HEAD-12/24/04-15:59:15 and ALERT_INFO I have a system setup with polycom phones configured to auto answer on internal calls. When we upgraded to the latest CVS the auto answer stopped working. My dialplan has not changed. I did a sip debug and I dont see the alert-info tag in any of the sip traces. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks John Bittner Simlab.net

deprecated ALERT_INFO var andAMI's Originate command
Since 1.4 ALERT_INFO variable has been deprecated. I used to send this via AMI: Action: Originate Channel: Sip/1234 Application: AgentLogin Data: 1234 Variable: _ALERT_INFO=info=alert-autoanswer Callerid: AutoLogin[1234] In order to send an autologin and autoanswer call to the agent 1234 on an Aastra phone at extension 1234. (just for example). Now in * 1.4 with ALERT_INFO deprecated I

Problem with setting ringtones on Cisco 7960 phone.
Hi All, I am running into a problem setting the ringtones via _ALERT_INFO on the Cisco 7960 phone. I am using * 1.2.1 and have tried setting the variable to several values. I have also tried setting the phone's software to both 7.5 and 8.2 thinking that it might be a version issue, but with no success. I have examined the packets and do see the ALERT_INFO header being sent, but the

Outlook dialing
The bar is getting raised yet again http://www.voipmonitor.net/2007/06/05/New+Features+And+Services+For+Pack et8+Virtual+Office.aspx I personally use Snapanumber $30 or there abouts (after trialing a few other TAPI solutions and finding them sub-par) and think it's a great product but interesting to see how more people are expecting desktop/phone integration applications. Does anyone

TDM400P and monoBRI auto-dial call difference: caller phone does not ring
Hi, I'm using Asterisk 1.2.1 on a Debian Sarge with a TDM400P and a monoBRI using chan-mISDN from beronet site. It seems to work all right except for autodial calls, monoBRI ISDN channel behaves differently waiting for the caller to answer and then continue. Asterisk console says: analog: -- Attempting call on Zap/2/3391818250 for 104@inbound_originate:1 (Retry 1) > Channel

Autodial on off-hook?
I'm looking to build an application which requires a phone to autodial when the handset is lifted off of the hook. Since the system will be available to the general public, I want a solid phone that will withstand abuse, but not be too expensive. I'm leaning towards using a Sipura adapter with an analog outdoor handset. However, I don't nor ever have had a sipura adapter, so I'm

Autodial
I'd like to setup an autodial that will do the following: 1. First try call my multiple SIP phones at my house - if no answer within n seconds, try my mobile phone. Alternatively call both SIP phones at home + mobile at the same time. 2. Once someone answer in step 1 (on any phone) initiate calling to a specific phone number/extension Currently I have it working except that in step 1 I can
