Asterisk overheating on VIA Epia M Series motherboard
Hello I am running Asterisk on SUSE Linux Professional 9.3 on a VIA Epia M Series motherboard - CPU runs at 1GHz. There is no fan - just a large heatsink. Currently system is running off standard IDE hard drive - because I couldn't get astlinux to run with my Digium TDM04B card (only PCI card in system). Strangely I also have the same system also running SUSE Linux running as a file

New Tutorial: Asterisk on EPIA VIA C3
Hello list, after spending the best part of an afternoon trying to build Asterisk on an old EPIA VIA C3, I thought that writing a tutorial would make life easier for future compilers: http://astrecipes.net/index.php?n=356 I had never compiled Asterisk for a different architecture, and I'm pretty disappointed at how complex it is - building Zaptel, Libpri and Asterisk requires

Help with Cisco 7905G corrupted image!!
Hi, I recently purchased from a friend 2 Cisco 7905G for testing them with Asterisk. I was able to upgrade one of them with the SIP image, the other hang up during the upgrade process and now it won't boot again. When powered up, the red and green lights keep on and the screen is blank. Does any one know a procedure to fix this ? I do not have a contract with Cisco, I have even call a

SV: Asterisk and Panasonic KX-TD1232
Thank you for response. So a "standard" quad bri card can serve the KX-TD1232, no need for anyt special fxs similar equipment. Would like not to invest much more money into the Panasonic, I wan't it out :P BR Amund -----Opprinnelig melding----- Fra: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] P? vegne av Peter Svensson Sendt: 14. juni

Asterisk and Panasonic KX-TD1232
Hello We have around 50 phones in our company, and I am playing with the thought to gradually go over to using sip services and ip-phones internally. However at first I would liked the Asterisk just to sit between the phone line and the Panaosnic, so I can take out one lin/number at a time to use ip phones. I am new to Asterisk, and haven't done much configuring of the PBX either. So I also

Asterisk overheating on VIA Epia MSeriesmotherboard
I use them with just the one NIC card. I don't use them as a router so the phones and my gateway are all on the same network. -Jonathan -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Remco Barende Sent: Tuesday, September 06, 2005 4:33 PM To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion

Asterisk overheating on VIA Epia MSeriesmoth erboard
Is that a bios setting (I don't recall seeing it) or an OS setting? I run a lot of Via C3 machines (they are so nifty) but don't remember seeing this. -----Original Message----- From: Technical Support [mailto:support@ocg.ca] Sent: Tuesday, September 06, 2005 10:43 AM To: 'Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion'; shmaltz@gmail.com Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users]

ISOLINUX versions 3.36 and 3.53 can't boot VIA EPIA CL Motherboard, version 3.31 can
Hi, I'm using Kubuntu and have a problem with the ISOLINUX CDROM booter with versions used since (K)Ubuntu 7.04. The ISOLINUX booter versions 3.36 and 3.53 do not boot my motherboard. The version shipped with Ubuntu 7.04 is I believe ISOLINUX 3.31 but it displays for such a short time I could be wrong. I'm writing to this mail list in case the original Ubuntu bug report never made it

* dials out zap line first 6 digits, pause, then last digit
Hello, This seems to be a weird one. I'm at work now and will get some more-verbose logs later when I get home if nobody has any ideas about what's happening here. I've got a tdm card with 1 FXO and 1 FXS. Asterisk is in the 1.2.x line, so is zaptel. astlinux to be specific. I can get the versions at home later if it might help. It's running on a silent epia 5000 board

pxelinux bootup problems on EPIA-M
Hi, I was wondering if anyone had a good dhcpd.conf and /tftpboot files for a EPIA-M motherboard with RedHat 9.0.... Or maybe just a configuration that works with the EPIA-M (doesn't matter which type of linux). I'm trying to boot the system from the network and it seems to be getting to downloading pxelinux.0 but then nothing happens after that.... I'm using ISC dhcpd V3.0pl2,

Will a VIA Epia ME6000 with a 600MHz Eden fanless CPU be suffiecient for 8 extension system?
Hello I am using a VIA Epia ME6000 with a 600MHz Eden Fanless CPU. Is this likely to be enough power for a 8 extension system with 6 external pstn lines? How important is cpu? Is there some measure, eg xMHz CPU per extension or something benchmark? I have installed 512MB memory - again any benchmark for asterisk memory usage? Angus

tftp problems with VIA EPIA-M board
I'm trying to boot linux on a VIA EPIA-M board (a Nehemiah-based M10000), and I'm having some trouble with it. I'm watching the network transactions with ethereal, and I'm seeing a failure at what appears to be the tftp stage. The M10000 picks up its IP address from the dhcp server (ISC DHCP3), and reports it correctly on the screen. Then the tftp session starts, and I get the

EPIA-M board for Centos
Is there any problems using this board? I have a dead board in a Book-PC (board size 10.5"x6") so am looking for a new board. Actually I want 2 LAN ports. 'Router' boards with enough umph to run Centos are expensive. I can pick up a VIA epia-m with 512Mb memory for $70 including shipping, so this is rather attractive option. I do have a 100Mb low-height PCI board that I

"Success" report with TDM400 and Via EPIA-MII motherboard
Hello! In spite of a number of complaints, I have tried to use a TDM400 on a Via EPIA-MII motherboard with a 1.2GHz C3 CPU. cpuinfo and interrupts are included at the end of this e-mail. I have had no problems with it so far that I can attribute to the computer. I have, though, had continual problems with a certain telephone... Anyway, this module currently has 3 x FXS modules and 1 x
