LineJacks & Asterisk
Hi folks,
First off all, I'm new to asterisk.
I'd like to make a basic installation of * with a Linejack, as
recommended in this mailing list, I downloaded and setup successfuly
the pwlib, openh323 lib, asterisk and chan_323.
I have made little changes to default configuration files packed with
asterisk and I managed to call with the telephone plugged in my

X100P Wildcard - Hassle free clone?
Now that the X100P is no longer being offered by Digium, what is the
best solution? I seem to have run into a few posts where people talk
about problems they've had with their X100P clone cards (dropping
calls, echos, etc) other people seem to not have any problems.
Of the three chipsets that will work: Intel 537EP, Ambient MD3200, and

Linejack strikes again.
Hi All,
Does anyone know if there has been any developments in asterisk to use LineJacks to dial out (connect to the PSTN)?
The card works perfectly with virtually anything else but asterisk.
Maybe the CVS versions have some work on it?
Cheers,
-Z

Asterisk and Linejacks
I found a message from you to the asterisk users mailing list from 2001. I was
wondering if you got (or still have) an asterisk system working with the
linejack? If so, would you be willing to assist me with mine?
I seem to have things working, and * says that caller ID is coming in, but I
can't get * to actually answer the call.
Thanks,
Greg

APC SmartUPS 750 (SUA750) missing ambient data with usbhid-ups
I have a SmartUPS 750 (SUA750) which has the temperature and humidity
SmartSlot card installed. When NUT 2.2 communicates with this UPS over
/dev/ttyS0 using apcsmart, using the APC Smart cable connected to the
SUA750 serial port, and this ups.conf:
[su700]
driver=apcsmart
port = /dev/ttyS0
I can see the ambient temperature and humidity data with "upsc su700 at

Re: apcsmart and ambient data (was: NUT and MonAMI
Hi Paul,
Aha - we have both found the same. I am referring to your post from:
http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsdev/2006-November/001344.html
Looking at the source code the temp value is obtained by querying the following OID:
#define APCC_OID_IEM_TEMP ".1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.2.3.2.1.4.0"
notice that the OID ends with .0 (index zero). Well, looking at the

apcsmart and ambient data
Perhaps someone else could confirm this, I have an APC UPS with a built-in network management card with environmental sensor for temp/humidity. The OID index for the sensors appears to be .1 (the last component for each of the OIDs listed below). The original source code has them at .0

validating ambient.temperature from APC IEM (AP9618, AP9619) patch
Hi Dmitry and the list,
would you (or anyone owning such a device) be able to validate the below patch:
https://alioth.debian.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=310613&group_id=30602&atid=411542
Most notably, it's about the paths changes:

-#define APCC_OID_IEM_TEMP_UNIT

Uninitialized constant Spec:Story
Hi, I''m fairly new to Rails and v. new to RSpec. Think it looks pretty
useful and so I''m trying it out for the first time. I have installed the
rspec-rails gem and created a simple plain text my_story file and
my_story.rb file along the lines described here -

relating data in two data frames
Hi,
My data.frame "A" has FID like this
FID
a
a
b
b
b
c
c
d
d
d
d
Now my second data.frame "B" has age value for a, b, c, d like
FID Age
a 5
b 7
c 9
d 3
How can search for the Age column in "B" and replace the values in "A" so that my new "A" looks like this
FID Age
a 5
a 5
b 7
b 7

[LLVMdev] Which pass converts call printf to puts?
I found that LLVM optimized the IR by replacing printf with puts. I
wondered which pass did this optimization? And is it common that puts is
faster (and some other metric) than printf?

[LLVMdev] Does anaysis group only contain passes?
Thanks, John.
This sounds reasonable that the analysis group just provides an interface
to its implementors (pass). Then I have another question, is it allowed to
specify multiple pass in the same analysis group in the command line for
opt? If yes, which pass will be used for the call of
getAnaysis<AnalysisGroup>()?

read.table bug
Suppose we have a data file containing:
"Smith, John", 120, 90
"Thomson, Peter", 110, 85
there are 3 variables in it. If we use
x <- read.table("tmp.txt", sep=",")
to read the data to a data.frame,
the result will be 4 columns.
Splus 4.0 have no problem with this kind
of data.
