UTStarcom F1000 - WLAN connection unreliable
Hi list, I bought two UTStarcom F1000 phones, pre-equipped with the latest firmware, including WPA support. Those are configured to register to an asterisk server on the internet (not LAN), and registration works. Calling and being called also, with transfer and all bells and whistles. After a few minutes up to 5 hours (varies widely), the display tells me that an Accesspoint is not available

UTStarcom F1000 WiFi IP Phone Review
I bought a UTStarcom F1000 WiFi IP Phone from http://www.luxoncomm.com and tested it with Asterisk. This is a my first impression of the device. The F1000 supports SIP. It looks and operates like a cell phone, and connects to the Internet through WiFi, so you can use it at any WiFi hotspot. I set up a 802.11b wi-fi network with a Linksys BEFW11S4 Wireless-B broadband router with no security

Gluster + NFS-Ganesha Failover
Hello All, I am trying to setup a three way replicated Gluster Storage which is exported by NFS Ganesha. This 3 node Ganesha cluster is managed by pacemaker and corosync. I want to use this cluster as a backend for several different web-based applications as well as storage for mailboxes. The cluster is working well but after triggering the failover by stopping the ganesha service on one node,

WiFi phones and WDS (Wireless Distribution System)
I'm about to start working with WiFi phones on my Asterisk installations. Can anyone tell me if they are using WiFi phones on wireless network that is extended with WDS and how well the phone handles jumping from access point to access point while on a call? Do any WiFi phones support WPA encryption or are they all still under the impression they are only being used on public hot spots?

Recommendations on a WiFi phone for *?
We're getting our feet more and more wet with VOIP at work. We want to experiment with a good wireless (as in WiFi) phone. What would be a good phone to impress my boss with? I'm personally drooling over the UTStarcom F3000, but compatibility and shipping ETA info is a bit sketchy. Phil

Problem With Android Configuration
If you are running Lollipop / Android 5.x on your Nexus 5, then you are probably seeing the same issue I was with it. lollipop seems to change networking quite a bit in that it's using iptables / and `ip rule list` extensively for per-user settings. I think http://www.linux.org/threads/debugging-nat-prerouting-issues-iptables.7136/ is relevant if you see running in to the same issue, it's

Problem With Android Configuration
I think it's more of a routing issue than anything explicitly blocking it, they use a new 'ip rule list' and per user settings that aren't well documented yet either, but where exactly to point I don't know. I haven't messed with android 5 much yet, it seems not ready enough yet for daily use, there isn't a single snapshot in the cyanogenmod repos, for example. So maybe
