Asterisk SIP to Cisco IAD2430 Series?
Hi All, I tried doing SIP from Asterisk to the old Cisco 2400 series IAD's but could not get signalling reliable or DTMF either. I do SIP to Cisco routers with PRI cards in quite a bit, but I guess the old IAD SIP stack is not a robust at the router sip stack so I just could not get it working. I'm wondering if anyone has tried the new Cisco 2430 series IAD's and have been

Asterisk SIP trunk to Cisco IAD2400
Hi All, Does anyone have a config example for setting up SIP trunking to a CIsco IAD2400 and are willing to share? I've done SIP trunking to Cisco 2600's with PRI's but not to the POTS lines on the IAD's, I'm wondering if that is possible and how to specify the DID on the POTS line config for the IAD. Thanks. Script to kill dictionary spam attacks
Does anyone have a script that will notice a Rumplestiltskin type spam attack (where they try every name possible) and drop the sending into a block list? -- Chris Mason NetConcepts (264) 497-5670 Fax: (264) 497-8463 Int: (305) 704-7249 Fax: (815)301-9759 UK 44.207.183.0271 Cell: 264-235-5670 Yahoo IM: netconcepts_anguilla@yahoo.com -- This message has been scanned for viruses and

Public phone
A client wants to put phones in a semi-public place, using a Calling Card solution. What kind of hardware is suitable? I'm looking for a wall mounted booth, a SIP phone that can't easily be broken, but I might just use cheap analog phones and a channel bank. What do you suggest for the calling card software? This installation will be outside the US. -- Chris Mason NetConcepts (264)

Interfacing to an IAD
I'm considering switching my incoming phones lines from standard analog to a T-1 service from XO communications. They propose to bring in an "IAD" which has 12 lines of voice and 768k of internet bandwidth as part of a package deal. Since I want to keep the voice traffic in the digital domain the equipment they're proposing is a "Lucent Digital Vina Integrator" IAD

FXO Gateways
Does anyone have any experience with the Audiocodes MP-108 FXO gateway? I'm looking to get one for incoming PSTN lines. In particular, does it pass caller ID information to Asterisk? I currently have a Mediatrix 1204 but Caller ID does not work, even though the specs say it does. All it sends are the names of the ports set up internally on the gateway (ie. "pstnline1" etc) when

CDR problem - incorrect time
We have a billing system that depends on the CDRs. We had a guest that made a one minute call to a local cellphone, this call went out Zap channel through our channel bank. The CDR recorded a 200 minute call, but I checked with the Telco's records and it had terminated after one minute. What can cause this and what can I do to prevent it? -- Chris Mason NetConcepts (264) 497-5670 Fax:

Visual ring notification
I have put a pbx into a resort with Polyycom phones, everythign works great, except the kitchen staff cannot hear the phone ring. I know many legacy systems employ a big red flashing light, any ideas on doing something similar? -- Chris Mason NetConcepts (264) 497-5670 Fax: (264) 497-8463 Int: (305) 704-7249 Fax: (815)301-9759 Cell: 264-235-5670 Yahoo IM: netconcepts_anguilla@yahoo.com

MGCP IADs
Hi, For MGCP users. Is there any success stories with any MGCP IAD vendor. I?m trying to find an IAD which works with Asterisk. I?ve tried the Cisco IAD 2430 without success; but SIP on this IAD works but it?s limited (no authentication, no notify messages, etc) and with higher density IAD (16 or more ports) it?s nice to control using MGCP. Any information will be apreciated ! Thanks. --

Multi-ISP with one Dynamic IP
I have two feeds, one with a static IP and one with a dynamic IP. How can I configure a Multi-ISP setup with the dynamic IP, or can I? I don''t think the gateway will change, just the interface IP. -- Chris Mason NetConcepts (264) 497-5670 Fax: (264) 497-8463 Int: (305) 704-7249 Fax: (815)301-9759 UK 44.207.183.0271 Cell: 264-235-5670 Yahoo IM: netconcepts_anguilla@yahoo.com --

SPA-3000 and incoming faxes
I've been running with a generic X100P for 5 or so months and every once in a while I have problem receiving faxes. I see that others have the same problems and some worse than I have with these boards so I was wondering if using a Sipura SPA-3000 would be any more reliable. Has anyone had enough experience to tell me if that would definitely fix the random fax error. PS. I have * at

Polycom phones w/ two lines on different servers
Hi all - This isn't really directly Asterisk related, but has anyone successfully set up a Polycom phone to register two lines on two different Asterisk boxes? I can get the first line to register, but the second one does not. I can still place calls from that second line, which indicates to me the server, user, and secret are correct. I'm running the newest 2.6 series firmware with the

Problem with flash hook
Hi, I facing a problem with flash hook. When ever I do a flash hook to place an extsing call on hold, the call gets disconnected. The debugs on Asterisk shows that 'on hook event detected' when I press the flash button on the phone. The setup is like this Asterisk box with T1 cards and FXS cards. The T1 card is connected to an IAD and configured for ISDN PRI lines. Analog phones come

Network issue
Hi Stephen, Thanks again for getting back to me, Ivan Krylov responded also and suggested windows binaries and I must confess I was only familiar with installing from files via the package sources (apart from the conventional install.packages method), so the solution was as simple as installing via the binaries. Thanks again, best wishes, James From: stephen sefick <ssefick at gmail.com>
